And for the record: It's just a frikkin video game people. It doesn't have to make a lick of frikkin sense. Honestly you people are worse than trekkies... (Not you Trekkie, just trekkies in general)

Reasons Not to buy Halo 2 Vista:
1. You can buy a Keyboard and mouse adaptor

I have that exact adaptor for my xbox, and it sucks. It is nothing like a pc shooter, and driving vehicles is next to impossible. Horizontal aiming is much better though, but the vertical aiming is harder.

The truth behind Halo 2 vista is this, if you prefer PC shooters to console shooters, then buy it. If not, then same yourself some money.

Meh. Hey, Reaver, the first line in your sig is remarkably relevant.

Kekeke!

And remember, the Covenant believes that altering or improving on these Forerunner technology is sacriligeous. Maybe the Forerunner didn't need to develop the use of incredibly strong shields, because I don't think they had any enemies with such destructive weapons as they did.

Well, excuse some of us for admiring the amount of work Bungie put into the story and science of Halo instead of whining about lag and stuff.

You can't rationalize away basic violations of the laws of physics, which is why Halo belongs firmly in the realm of Space Opera. And the way the plasma weapons work in Halo is impossible if they really fire plasma. It should be fairly obvious to anyone with a basic grasp of science even before you try running the numbers.

Actually, the major failing in the arguement is the need to compress the plasma so much as your previous post says. Hell, humans can create and control artificial plasma in small amounts - fluorescent lamps, plasma televisions - with an even more effective control over magnetic fields and so forth it's easy to control plasma. You don't need to compress enough gas to ignite a small star into those things.

Having an FTL drive just shows you that the laws of physics don't apply so much in halo. In the present, its not possible to do some of the things in halo, but halo isn't set in the present its set in the future. That alone makes almost all of it plausible.

Gaming Systems:
Intel Core i7 720QM (4 cores, 8 threads)
4Gb DDR3-1333mhz
1Gb AMD Radeon HD 4650
Windows 7 64bit

Xbox 360 w/ 20Gb HDD (2008 edition) & XBL Gold.

Why are these things being discussed? WHY ARE THESE THINGS BEING DISCUSSED? Sometime, society makes me wonder.... Quite correct, it's a game, not EVERYTHING needs to be physically pheasable. Actually, the storyline and concepts behind Halo aren't as far-fetched as many Sci-Fi genre games suggest. There's nothing rediculous, nothing you laugh at while playing the game thinking "They musts be -BLAM- kidding..." Like in Prey, for example. Yes there's teleporters, but they are in every Sci-Fi game or movie, so like that matters. I like the Halo storyline, i REALLY like the Music (thanks Marty :D), i like the concept, i like the characters and yes, i like the guns. They're all fantastic and one hell of a good excuse to waste 100hours sitting at a computer for :).

I don't suppose you try to rationalize RPG games, do you?
