Also, the game isn't about spraying fire. Last time I checked, this game was about accuracy and your ability to cope with latency and recoil. Not writing your name in the wall with bullets. I don't know about you, but I'd try to take well-aimed shots rather than spray-and-pray.
Eh, but I don't play it anymore.
I see your point. I do that too, I always stay in a fetal position, take cover, and fire a couple of shots (all semi-auto and accurate of course), and BAM the wall is covered in terrorist blood. xP
But tell me this, if CS is about well-placed accurate shots, WHY IN THR WORLD did they put in automatic fire? For example, the M249 machine gun in CS, is as you know, a machine gun, and as you know, machine guns are not designed for semi-auto rifle action fire. It's mainly for inaccurate, but rapid, automatic fire, to cover fire, or "support" your teammates by either scaring the opponent into hiding, or take down drones of enemies in a quick swipe. I was experimenting two weeks ago, and I noticed that the M249, when used in full-auto, the bullets go pretty much 700 feet from the freakin' crosshair. I see the crosshair still on the enemy, although stuttering, but the bullets are going on the roof, the window over yonder, etc. THE ONLY way to use the machine gun effectively in CS is to use it as a rifle, semi-automatic.
Now I'm wondering, isn't the machine gun a squad-supporter weapon? If the M249 in CS can't "support" for -blam!-, why not just buy a cheaper M4A1 or the AK47? Either way, in CS, they'll all work the same way, full-auto in CS is a big no-no.
I'm not trying to prove you wrong or anything, but it's ridiculous how CS has something unessacery like that. If they're not going to make full-auto at least a BIT useful, why did they put it in in the first place?
