remember a while back when there were so many threads about live on h1... STOP. It is physically and, of course, mentally impossible that h1 can have live. They would have to modify the game's code, meaning they would have to make the entire game over. That would cost millions, to be honest, I would like H3 multiplayer more than some quick-pick h1 multiplayer with veterans going "Ohhhhhh: PISTOL SHOT IN THE HEEEAAADD. Im sorry if some of you had your hopes on it, and maybe, maybe.... maybe it'll come true. Maybe after h3 is released. But definatel not anytime soon.
lol, I love how all these people talk like they work for major game developers and know the business and the technology and how it all works. Truth is, they don't know blam, they are just speculating.
Halo CE XBL is possible, sure. But a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT could be any of a hundred things, you could replace "Halo CE for XBL" with just about anything and it would be just as plausible.
other than his psychotic rant, he is right. the only way that halo can be made for xbl is for them to recode the game. i can't remember which moderater said it in one of the thousands of forums on this topic, but for it to be done the game needs to be essentially remade to work with xbl, something it was never designed to do. is it possible?? sure, anything is really. but would it happen, highly doubtfull. there is no real benefit for them to do this, what money is there to be made for them to remake a 5 year old game so that it is xbl capable, on a platform that they are trying to phase out???
and as discussed earlier in the debate above by yours truly, there would have to be changed made to the gameflow simply to make it more xbl "workable". namely balance issues would have to be addressed. the learning curve for halo was far higher then that of halo2, so either 1 of two things are likely to happen. only halo loyalists will play it, cause there the only one's that won't mind pistol dominated games, or the game will be re-balanced so that it works to the majorities liking, essentially nuetering what made it so fun in the first place.
i say leave it alone, let it rest on the top teir as one of the greatest FPS ever made, don't risk that status with a remake.
