Ok, I have a question. Why is it that on Halo for PC the graphics are ok. but for XBox they are terrific. The blood stays on the ground, and its all just perfect. The Elite's shields look sooooooo good. I was just wondering, can someone clear up why it is like that? And if I can make my graphics like the one on XBox, how? As you can tell I am a Halo fan, and I dont have an XBox. So I have to use th computer. So someone please clear that up for me. Thanks You guys are the greatest.

X-Box is more powerful than the PC is my guess, you want X-box graphics buy the best ever PC and Graphics card! then buy the upgrades!

just go to options and make the resolution higher, and turn on the effects, but you have to have a sick computer if you want it to run smoothly with all the settings turned up.

Halo PC is very taxing of your computer, you need a high-end PC to play with high resolution and all effects turned on. On xbox, the developers could make it how they wanted it, every xbox is the same, so they all run with the same resolution, effects, etc. This is why the PC version looks "worse" in many cases, it had to be developed in a way that allowed it to run on a plethora of different systems.

Your computer isn't a Xbox. Halo was made for the Xbox. So everything about the graphics works perfectly on a Xbox. But, your computer might not have something that the Xbox does, therefore lowers the quality of the graphics.

Yeah, Halo PC requires a very good PC to run it and have it look like the Xbox version.

Ok, thanks man. Guess I'll have to get a new graphics card and harddrive...

Even a good PC won't get it looking like the Xbox version - the PC version doesn't support anti-aliasing.

Well, the Xbox has 733 megahertz P3 processor, 64 meg NVIDIA graphics card, 8gig HDD , 128 megs of ram, , if you bought it on November 15th 2001 that's what came standard.

Another thing with the XBOX is that is has a very basic OS. Just enought to load it's basic options and read the cd right. Thus you have all your RAM and processor free. Thus you can get more out of it. For example: start up you comp nd the press ALT+CTRL+DELETE (this works for XP I don't know about other OS's) the go over to Processes. Each one of those programs eat memoery. Most you can't turn off. Other's can be. Then factor in Halo for the PC. Now I don't play it on the PC since my comp dose not stand a hope in hell of running it. But I imagine it eats alot of you system ram and your processor bandwith.

So I think it's faily siple how come it runs better.
