So you call yourself a pessimist, that is the depressing part, not the laziness. Pessimism doesnt get you anywhere. The "relatively meaningless slang" portrays the negative feelings, which is sufficient. He feels negatively instead of positively towards memory cards. To add to pessimism. It is okay to analyze, but pessimism is too far. Pessimism leaves everyone"depressed"
Oh is that "depression" the meaning of extreme sadness , or a large indentation?
You could like having a largn in your body, alot of people do, so i cant tell if you feel positively or negatively in the aspect of laziness.
Yeah, you do act Haughty., as it says in the dictionary, sorry about spelling:)
A very good point. But, I still think the mistake is being made between using actual words and slang, and which is more effective at describing. You see, I was on about communicating.
I could say, "I am depressed." Given context and common usage, you could probably figure out that I am unhappy. Depressed, though it can be interprited different ways, is rather straightforward and clear.
Instead of saying "I am depressed" I could have said, "I feel like crap." This latter version is slang. It's understandable. But does it really communicate what it is you're feeling? No. All it tells you is that you feel bad.
My point was this: Why use rather ambiguous, unspecific and generally undescriptive slang when a more well-known, precise word could do? It helps in communication - and it was the communication of feelings that I was trying to make a point of.
The part of me picking on the meaning of "stinks" was really just me being facetious.
