Ok...I tried to have patience and read through all the comments before posting, but you guys make me sick to listen to all you so called "loyal" fans.
Microsoft owns Bungie.
People are "loyal" to Bungie.
Therefore using a sort of tweaked transitive property you have SOME loyalty to Microsoft.
My math may be off but thats wasn't even what I wanted to say, just thought I'd throw that our there for some food for thought.
People are claiming that Bungie releasing the New Maps for only 360 users is, horrible, sad, a bad decision, and a bad reflection on the company because of how the fan base was built.
My thoughts you what you think? Simple Minded and Ridiculous.
This is greatly infulenced by Microsoft I'm sure. Releasing maps to reinterest people in Halo 2 is huge, they know that, they know the Halo name is a huge money maker and use that to their advantage, as they should. If the new maps only release for 360, its guarentted At least 1 person will buy a 360 because of this, and thats half their battle, they hope that it influences at least 1 person this holiday season to purches a 360 instead of a PS3. And getting 1 person from this news is a success for them, because thats one more person buying a 360, its games, accesories and everything else including downloadable content, and them not buying the PS3 and spening money torwards that platform, because lets by honest, a select few of us can, want, or are able to purchase multiple platform's in this day in age.
My Question to is this: Why would Bungie (Microsoft) give new maps to those still using a xbox?
Not only are they not getting any money except for the purcheses of the maps, but it could possibly influence those considering to purches the 360 because they are 'bored' with Halo 2, not to because they know good stuff in the future will be coming and that they can 'make due' while they wait.
More people on 360= more new games being bought.
This is simply a great decsion, and I guarentee you that NO ONE will lose interest in Halo (As a whole) and further more, not buy Halo 3, because they were too cheap to buy a new system, which they would have to buy in the coming few months anyways for Halo 3, just because Microsoft out-smarted you.
As a long time Member here and for that matter a long time Halo fan, I'm dissapointed in some of you Halo loyal posers.
I'd be happy to defend my points if any one has any questions, I'll check back sooner or later.
