Ive been "with" Halo since I saw a trailer for it that was at macworld. And if I remember correctly what Bungie was planing at the time was a huge world that could support several thousand players on it at once. Now they wouldnt all be in the same place but in differnet spots covering a ring world called Halo. What was more interesting is that in order to access these different killzones you had to actually find a form of transoprtation to enter these new areas of combat. Kinda like a huge world with oceans being used as a loading screen. Does anyone else remember this, or have I been smoking to much Granola. And if some of you do remember this, do you think thats its possible that this is being intended for Halo 2 multiplayer??

that would be a nice addition, but where would you find a server to handle that many people.

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

I never heard of it, but I doubt Bungie would make Halo 2 a MMOFPS, too much competition from the new MMORPGS like World of Warcraft and EverQuest 2.

LOL, I think that if Bungie Managed to create the first Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter not only would it remove all competition from other first person shooters such as Doom 3 and Half Life 2, but it would also be serious competion for any and all MMO RPG's. As for the server problem, we have to remeber that they are backed by Microsoft, THE largest computer corporation in the world. What i think the problem would be is the amount of time and manpower it would take to code a project of that size. Especially with Halo 2 looking the way it does. I know that bungie has something planned in Halo 2 multiplayer thats gonna blow everyone's socks off. -blam!-, Screw peoples sock's, your gonna be lucky if you have anything left in your wardrobe once we boot up Xbox Live with Halo 2 in our disc drives. Im just trying to find out what is in the relm of possibility.

it doesnt matter how fast microsofts computers are. if its a blood pumping halo game our current high speed connections couldnt handle that. your modem can only take in and put out so much information. with millions of people that just wouldnt work well unless there is a new faster internet

That would be pretty hot. But why not just stick to the simple find a game and join it way, seems to be working pretty good.
