The second part is not relevant.

He's right. The only thing that matters in Halo is if you're really good or not. The caliber of your character has nothing to do with it.

/sarcasm

BTW, people with crappy computers are indeed screwed out of this video. Myself, I get at most 20 fps recording at the lowest quality and res of 320x240. Usualy, during the game, I get about 30 fps. That's a 33% drop in framerate for recording. So yeah, even if you're a Halo master, you're out of luck if you have anything less than a PCI Express video card and a 3GHz processor.

whats your card?

I'm sorry, but that's plain wrong. Anything less than a PCI-Express video card technically includes AGP cards. AGP may be on its death throes, but a GeForce 7800 isn't something to scoff at.

Seriously. Some may call me a hypocrite but you should think carefully before saying something so absurd. It doesn't take a high-end $2000 dollar computer to make a decent video with Fraps.

My card is a PNY nVidia GeForce 5200 PCI, my processor is a 2.8GHz Celeron. All that adds up to a 20 or lower fps video at 320x240.

So like I said, people with crappy comps = no video. At least not with what Nessy is asking for.

DusK, it may be that your hard drive is slow. My hard drive had problems before and everytime I started recording with FRAPS, the framerate would drop from 40 to 5, and stay there until I stopped recording. What I did was reformat my entire hard drive and got everything I needed back on, and when I loaded Halo and tested FRAPS, I hardly got any video lag from recording.

For me, I get around 40-80 FPS normally, depending on the map, and how much action is going on. If its like in a small map with 16 players in an FFA match, and all hell breaks loose like nades and rockets flying everywhere and exploding, it goes down to about 15-20.
When recording with FRAPS, I get between 15 lowest possible to a good 40...maybe 50 tops. Then again, I also play at 1280x1024 resolution, with everything turned up.

I doubt it's that. I defrag my hard drive and clean the registry every week. Things usually load pretty fast for me. It's just that that hardware I have in this thing sucks.
