How many Halo games do you think there will be? I mean I think there should be 3 or 4 considering there are 4 halo rings in the galaxy including the one MC destroyed and if they try to cram to much of the plot into halo 2 it could make the game go bad. Also from a finacial view microsoft is going to make billions off of halo 2 sales and they will presure bungie to make a third game bungie should plan for a third game so it will be even better then halo 2 (if thats possible) and won't crank out a crappy sequel. I also think theey should limit the amount of games because halo can't turn into one of those games that never die for example mario.

Well i think Bungie should come out with a Halo 3 for the next Xbox platform, but any more than that might be a little much. I also think that there are 7 halo rings because that is Bungies favorite number and i dont know it just feels like that there are that many to me...if that makes any sense.(Note that the 7 halo rings is just me speculating, isn't confirmed.)

Its 4 or 5 rings because the monitor said each ring had a radius of 25,000 light years some one calculated the area of our galaxy and it came out that there would need to be 4 to 5 halos. Although it is possible that different halos might have different ranges but the forerunner seem like a race that likes uniformity so I think they would build all the rings the same.

True but it would be repeptitive to have to go to every ring and stop it in every game. Im sure Bungie will think of something for Halo 3

I read somewhere that Halo 3 has been confirmed by Bungie plus the Halo series is a triology like all books and movies these days.

It sais in xbox magazine that Halo 3 wont be ready for a platform release with the Xbox2.

  • 05.24.2004 7:14 PM PDT

Bungie has NOT confirmed that there will be a Halo 3. Steve Ballmer, Microsoft's CEO, did make a rash, unfounded statement a few months ago about "Halo 3", which took even Bungie by surprise. The chances are that there won't be a Halo 3. Look at Bungie's past record. In both game series they have yet made, there were only two games made by Bungie. Bungie made Marathon and Marathon 2. Marathon Infinity wasn't made by Bungie, it was made by Double Aught (although admittedly with the help of some Bungie people). Bungie made Myth TFL and Myth II. Myth III had absolutely nothing to do with Bungie; they were already working on Oni and Halo. I actually want to see where Bungie goes after Halo 2 - and hopefully it will be something new.

Hey, most great things come in threes

for example

Lord o the Rings Trilogy...3
Star wars installements...3
Manage eh toi...3
The GOOD alien movies...3
the "..." after these sentences...3

you see? halo will come in 3

Just like the 3 great english speaking countries, the US, the UK and the Canada

  • 05.24.2004 7:40 PM PDT

Because you ignored the greatest English-speaking country in the world, Australia, I'm going to disregard your post, Shake. :)

At least you didn't mention the Matrix "Trilogy" (by no means is that really a trilogy). Otherwise I would have to go all heron-guard on you.

yeah, but what if they made a halo game that happend before halo, kinda like star wars episode 1? they could base it on the fall of reach or something

P.S. how do you just put up a message? i'm really sick of having to hook mine together with somebody elses.

Do you mean start a new thread? On the main Underground (or whatever forum you want to post in) page, click "New Topic", up the top left (just above the list of topics). Then just type your message!

Or did I completely misunderstand what you meant?

I think that in Halo 3 (if there is one) MC will take revenge upon the Covenant home planets, causing massive destruction, wort-wort-worting, and "LITTLE PEOPLE FIRST!" All over the pathetic alien planets. There will be nothing to stop the MC from wreaking havoc on Grunt worlds and stealing Elite's wives and making strange, five-jawed cyborg babies that run around blowing -blam!- up killing marines.
Okay, disregard every part of this post except for the first sentence.
