First of all hi all, this is my first post in the amazingly active forums of the best company in the planet - Bungie. it's hard to follow all the activity here, but I'll do my best.

Anyway, I bought the three books of "Halo": The fall of Reach, The Flood and First Strike.
I started reading The fall of Reach yesterday and so far it's great. I'll be happy to see if there are more Halo fans that read the books, and slowly with not many spoilers we'll have a Halo book topic :)

ya, i have read the booksand they are good, though you might, like a friend of mine get caught in the second book, because it is basicly a rehash of the game, but i hope you enjoy the books. also what part in the fall are you at?

Welcome to the forum. I have read the books (as I am sure most of the people on this forum have) I didn't really care for the writing style of the author who wrote The flood, but the other two by Nylond where great. I would recommend reading the "The First Strike" book before playing Halo 2. From what I hear it is supposed to fill in some gaps between the games. Personally, if you are running out of time before the game comes out skip the second one. It doesn't provide too much beyond what you already know by playing the game, but it is a good read just to get a new perspective of what is going on on Halo when you are playing
