First of all, baby the motherboard. It's easy to brake it if you aren't careful, then your computer will run until it gets hot then die.
What dimension do you have? I have an E310 a not though, dell has crappy motherboards, no PCI-e x16. I personally would upgrade your hard drive though, 40 is kind of low. Any one know how to increase the amount of memory my integrated graphics can use? I just need to be able to play Halo without horrible frame rates until december when im getting my new graphics card.

Little advice, do NOT reuse the dell power supply, they are not standard ATX.
Yes, upgrade PSU, make sure there is no static in the system, ground yourself (make contact with another metal object, NOT the parts), and be VERY VERY gentle with the mobo.
You might need to replace the case too as Dell often uses their own custom made Motherboards which are often not the standard ATX shape which means that you may not be able to properly mount the new motherboard properly in the Dell case. Also you may not be able to use any of the front USB/Audio connectors on the Dell case after a motherboard upgrade as Dell often use custom connectors that only fit their motherboards.A basic PC Case that takes standard ATX motherboards are normally not expensive.Found some Tutorials on replacing PC parts if you need them, there may be better ones on the Net if you look.http://www.fonerbooks.com/replace.htm

I use the Dimension 3000.IGN, you're right. It's not standard ATX. My mobo is Micro-ATX. Will it still not work?Yes I tried on my case, the cables did not match. I got some old ATX case that will do the job.
Micro ATX is just a subset of the ATX spec, dell uses a proprietery format for their case and PS.
Ick Dell parts.[Edited on 11/24/2006]
I heard they stopped using proprietary parts as of late. The Dell PSU has the same connectors any other PSU has.
