We've been here since you left.
We left before you came.

According to Bungie, more specifically Achronos we have no rights.

From what I've been watching you post lately, I don't think you have a point that you are trying to convey.

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

Silly Imp. You should know better than to try and post an interesting topic while Yoozel's on watch.

It depends on the point you're trying to convey. If you're saying that you like pizza better than spaghetti, that's one thing, but it breaks the rules if you're saying you hate President Bush or something. It's not the content, it's the context.

Anything goes in "The Flood"? Are you serious?

Then we would have so many Blog entries, Political/Religious discussions, Racist threads... The list goes on. Bungie has these forum rules for good reason.

How 'bout a thread asking whether people like Funk, Jazz, or Techno? Because Yoozel evidently can't make up his mind over whether he should lock it or let it be. The question is; Did he lock it solely based on it's author or because he felt it broke the rules somehow?

It could have been locked due to the author. If the author posts fifteen threads in less than an hour, thirteen of which get locked due to whatever reason, then yes, it's safe to assume that person's thread would be locked for spamming.

And yes, I see loads of Impy's threads around here. They get old.

Locking spam I understand. But if you have one guy who posts 9 threads about his cat's bowel movements and a 10th on the Quantum Structure of an atom, do you lock the 10th as well? And if you do, do you lock it because of the author?

Why lock a decent thread?

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

I know what you are referring to (someone, presumably Toast, has deleted the threads in question, so I can't give a direct link to them), and I can't say that I sympethize with you all that much. Those topics made no sense.

If you want to express your opinion, you have to make it in your first post. That's the whole point of a forum. If you want responses, you can add you question at the end. Or the beginning. If we allowed people to post random things and then make the real post later, The Flood would be overrun, and people would be complaining that we should not have locked their thread because they were gonna make their real post.

Well, I haven't seen a decent thread from Impy that has been locked yet.

The music thread was decent and someone locked it. Now that same someone can't make up his mind on whether it should stay.

And then that's when people would get the idea that it's ok to do the same stuff in other forums as well. If you are going to say that something isn't allowed, it has to be absolute otherwise it wont stick.

The forums are a better place because of it.

No, it gave limited options and then after the poll he said 'What am I saying?' or something to that effect.

EDIT: Oops, sorry bout the double post.

For -blam!-'s sake, you have Imp's music thread and a thread dissing cops on the same page and Imp's thread gets locked? Explain that, please.

I haven't looked the cop thread but still. SPAM should be delt with wether there is other SPAM on the page or not. You don't just lock the worst thread on the page and call it a day for that forum.

These forums need constant moderating. Give it time, the other thread will be locked or dealt with accordingly.

Good to see at least somebody takes this place seriously

I am sincerely disappointed in everyone except JIMH. JIMH, have a gold star.

',:\ IF YA SAHMELLLL

I agree. Often times the silly, seemingly nonsensical threads end up being much more entertaining than the "I hate PS3, agree with me" threads. I consider all of those threads spam. The funny threads are what bring me back to this site. It is a shame that they are being locked. People have different interests, and I think they are being denied.

How is a thread asking what music people like spam?

Because it wasn't a serious 'What kind of music do you like?' thread.

This is basically what it was:

Title: Are you into Funk, Jazz, Techno or Trance?

* Yes
* No
* WTF

What am I saying?

Does that look serious to you?

And by the way, it's not locked.
