It depends on the point you're trying to convey. If you're saying that you like pizza better than spaghetti, that's one thing, but it breaks the rules if you're saying you hate President Bush or something. It's not the content, it's the context.
How 'bout a thread asking whether people like Funk, Jazz, or Techno? Because Yoozel evidently can't make up his mind over whether he should lock it or let it be. The question is; Did he lock it solely based on it's author or because he felt it broke the rules somehow?
It could have been locked due to the author. If the author posts fifteen threads in less than an hour, thirteen of which get locked due to whatever reason, then yes, it's safe to assume that person's thread would be locked for spamming.
And yes, I see loads of Impy's threads around here. They get old.
Locking spam I understand. But if you have one guy who posts 9 threads about his cat's bowel movements and a 10th on the Quantum Structure of an atom, do you lock the 10th as well? And if you do, do you lock it because of the author?
Why lock a decent thread?
Well, I haven't seen a decent thread from Impy that has been locked yet.
