Heyyo,

I've been running Vista betas well before it got the name of Vista. I liked the name and logo of Longhorn. It made me sad when they changed itl. Just remember that change is different and people said XP was terrible when it came out. Vista will go through the same as reverse compatibility and drivers are worked out to a level we know in XP.
Same. The beta's kinda sucked, mainly cause Creative had beta1 drivers that didn't work with beta 2 for a while... and their current support for Vista hardware acceleration is lacking, and my Saitek Gamepad doesn't have vista drivers 32bit or 64bit.
The prefromance gain of 64bit and dual core is amazing though. On FEAR preformance test, with maximum graphics.. like 1280x1024, 16AF, soft shadows, etc... my benchmark had an average framerate of 40F/S! that's playable! BUT... I get major preformance issues since it's Nvidia optimized. After a while, FEAR runs like ass at only 5-10F/S all the time, even the menu....
