ok, i have a dell dimension L550r with 256 RAM, 550 CPU and an intel 82810E video card with 32 MB VRAM. i know that the CPU is way under the requirements but i just wanna know why when i try to start up halo pc trial it says i have an 8 MB video card and it cant start Direct 3D. ive gotten the latest drivers i can find and i have Direct X 9. plz help.

Start Run from the start menu and type in "dxdiag" (without quotes). Under the system tab type in your specs (under "System Information". Then click the display tab and type in everything under the device section. There still may be hope, although I think Kim is right.

Usually I wouldn't say this because my computer is teh suckzorz but your computer is...well...CRAP. There, I said it.

Upgrade your computer mate and all your problems will be solved, we can even help you pick out parts just let us know what you're looking for and what your budget is.

wat about a laptop thats 3.2 ghz with 300 somthin RAM? i dont know how much VRAM it has though.

Is that Windows Vista I see in the background? Your specs are pretty low, even if you were able to start Halo I don't think you would be satisfied with the graphics and performance you'd get with such an incredibly low-end system.

256 will run it fine but you might think of getting some more.

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

Just get a whole new system, with a new motherboard you'll need a new cpu and I doubt you will get one that uses SDram like your current crapper. Just get a whole new comp.
