Now, I havn't been able to keep up with everything like I wanted to, but I saw something about there being no health bar in H2, only shields, but the shields were stronger and recharged faster. I saw a screenshot that seemed to confirm this.

Could someone tell me if this is true, or link a story about it (I couldn't find anything in the FAQ) and if it IS true, what do you all think the pro's and cons are? I mean, if you died without shields, that seems kind of silly, but I'm probly overlooking something.

You are correct- there is no health bar. After your shield goes down all the way, it only takes a few more shots to put you down. If you run away for a few seconds, it will start to recharge. It is okay I think. Whenever I play Halo on the internet, people always tell me to 'go get health' before going to the enemies base. I don't really care about health when you have the almighty shield.

The ONLY downside I'm seeing is that you wont be able to play with 'no shields' (most likely). That was fun for small levels and fast deaths.

The Shield is meant to be more powerful. I also think that it'll act as a buffer in the same way health did.So if you get a frag grenade thrown at you, you may still have some shield as opposed to no shield and little health. I think it will be exactly the same as when you had health.

hope so, but having no health bar might make the game more challenging. you wouldnt be able to get health and recharge your shields and youd really have to be sneaky unless you wanted to get hit. if there is no health bar, it will (i think) make the game harder yet still lots of fun.

The fact that there is no health bar will really change players' strategies, for sure, but it will also allow for a for a straight-forward fast paced game. Think about it. We don't have to search for those -blam!-in' health packs no mo.

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

I think it is to make the game faster paced. Like you are playing Zanzibar, you take a couple shots, but you drop the guy, then you only have to wait a second or so for you sheild to recharge, and you are ready to go. I also think it has been confirmed that the sheild recharges a lot faster.
