I'll be on my own side.

We all have heard the rumors that there will be no HD in the new Xbox(and if you havent, well now you have). Well,i was thinking about it,and i thought, maybe they could make the new one so it can accept your old Xbox's HD and be able to play old Xbox games.Just open up your old box and transfer the HD to your new Xbox 2. is this possible?

Discuss.

I don't think ther're many people who want to take apart their Xbox. I mean, what if Xenon isn't backwards compatible and you want to play an old Xbox game such as Halo. You don't want to rip your HD out of your Xenon just to play a classic do ya?

Not sure if it would be a good idea, we'd end up with a PS2 scenario after a while.

First off, many new adoptees who hadn't previously owned an XBox will now have a bay they have nothing for, which will cause MS to have to make something for them, which will cause the problem of non adoption and money loss. For example, notice the PStwo the redesign has no space for a hard drive. It was because of the lack of peripheral interest. The only game that fully supports it COMES with it, and not a lot of people have been purchasing it for PS2, rather they go for a PC version, which is much cheaper.

Secondly, there is still supposed to be onboard storage, in the form of Flash or what, I don't know, but it will supposedly exceed projected use for 5 years.

It still isn't 100% official whether it will be backwards compatible or not, however. We can only wait and see.
