Will The Maw community ever get a Q&A session from Bungie? We have a lot of questions we would like answered.

It seems like you kind of need it, seeing how HPC was riddled with problems...

The few, the proud, the leet.

The community at GBX forums or H2V.net deserves it more than this board. :\.

GearBox has nothing to do with it. And Halo2vista.net isn't an official site...

yeah, but that's where the people who are actually pumping out content NOW chill. You know halomaps.org? Popped up through the GBX community. You know 90% of the maps that pop up on halomaps.org? Popped up through the GBX community. You know the three campaigns, 14 multiplayer maps, and side projects that are allready in developement for H2V? Made by members of H2V.net community, which was formed from the aces of GBX's community.

What do you even think that the typical member would ask? I guarantee you that if a QnA was posted that every single question could be answered just by going through the archives of this site's news bullitens. The GBX/H2V.net community is where you'd actually find questions that need to be asked.

Let me prove this by showing where you can find an answer to a question you want to ask.

I have nothing against the communities. But if a Bungie Q&A was to be had, wouldn't the official Bungie page be the place to have it? I'm pretty sure that at least one member visits this site to let them know...

Oh yah, questions...

Do we have to pay to play?
Will there be auto-aim?
What exclusive features will we get?
Why was single player cut?
Will there be a central matchmaking system?
Will there be ranks?
Will there be a trial or demo available?
Will we get the upcoming XBox maps?
What is the release date?
Will GameSpy be used for browsing servers?
Will there be a way to download maps in-game?
Will maps still be archived in .map files?
How does Live Anywhere work for H2V?
Will we be able to import gamertags from XBox to H2V?

Do we have to pay to play?
Bungie is not ready to announce information on this subject.

Will there be auto-aim?
There will be auto-aim to aid players with controllers

What exclusive features will we get?
A map editor and "improved graphics"

Why was single player cut?
The amount of test/support cases for custom single player support would take away from the multiplayer side of the kit and that's something that Hired Gun doesn't want to do.

Will there be a central matchmaking system?
Bungie is not ready to make any announcements on this subject.

Will there be ranks?
^

Will there be a trial or demo available?
On a platform that isn't publically available?

Will we get the upcoming XBox maps?
Seeing how H2V is being released before those, it's a simple matter of using your brain or a calendar.

What is the release date?
Bungie is not ready to announce such a thing

Will GameSpy be used for browsing servers?
Bungie is developing their own proprietary server browser.

Will there be a way to download maps in-game?
Bungie is not ready to make an official announcement, but simple logic says no. It's just too much bandwidth.

Will maps still be archived in .map files?
Yes. While they could be called anything, such as .h2v, .mnr, .zeph, etc. The engine still requires them to be set up in a certain way to be read properly.

How does Live Anywhere work for H2V?
Bungie is not ready to announce anything official of Live Anywhere for Vista.

Will we be able to import gamertags from XBox to H2V?
^

See, what did I tell you? It's almost like you dont read a damned thing that pops up on their front page.
