Subject: Mullins H2 Chapter Theme

This has been brought to my attention in my chapter and I have set out to find if it is fixable. When using the theme "Mullins H2" the links and the normal text are all the same color. This make finding links in larger posts next to impossoble unless a member underlines the link or points out the link in some way. It is the only theme that has this problem.
I would like to know if this is something that can be addresses in future updates of the site?

Please don't reply with "Change your theme" or something like that.

Change your theme..

Nah, actually, I agree. Text color should always be drastically different. When I use the Mullins H2 theme, I just put (link) next to my links.

Same with Halo Babies. The only theme I really like is Forerunner or ONI.

If you don't got it, you want it. If you got it, you want more of it. Of course if you don't know what it is, it's hard to get any in the first place.

It brings the term "Old-Skool" to an entirely new level of pain.

To modify a quote from Talladega Nights...

"This Terminal theme is incredibly painful to look at, but I do love Marathon."

Hey you saw my sig! :)
Their was a time when this was under a post. Simpler times; no Halo 3 Forum and no search. Simpler times. Happy about search though.

I think I made that change at some point, along with a small graphical change that was driving Lorraine mad, but we never updated the live version. Then I got started on a new theme (that ended up falling by the wayside as more important things came up), and we forgot all about the Mullins theme.

Ah well. At least the text color would be an easy fix.

Frankly, I'd rather see some new themes, though.

Agreed.. But since I can't make any, I think someone should get less lazy out there. >_>

Hey, Shishka, you've been busy, I take it.. :P

Is there still a place to submit created themes to? Is bungie even looking at submitted themes for possible additions to the site?

I started one forever ago. Maybe I'll finish it sometime.

To add to that. Does anyone have any sort of theme Ideas? Themes they'd like to see?

Cortana 5 is a carbon-based lifeform that frequently visits these forums, currently residing in the United States. Practically every male on the site responds to her posts.

I would, but I heared that the themes aren't being accepted any more because there's going to be some more changes to the site.

I can't remember where, but I heard that too Cortana.

With themes that have links the same colour as normal text, you can just use the underline markup tags around links to make them more obvious.

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

It is highly unlikely any more themes of the current format will be accepted. Connect this to my previous statement about the bottom nav bar and you might guess why.

That's the way it looks.

And you can use markup to point out the link, but sometimes people forget to do that. And it woud be nice not to have to do it, anyways. But it's not a major problem. Only a slight annoyance.

Good to see at least somebody takes this place seriously

I am sincerely disappointed in everyone except JIMH. JIMH, have a gold star.

',:\ IF YA SAHMELLLL

My favorite, the Bungie one, also has that problem. I usually have to point links out. It is fun to hide links though.

The Marty Army

Ah, look at the lonely people...

Yeah, that angers me. My favorite group (The Marty Army) has the Mullins theme and I have to run my cursor over the entire posts to find the links. I usually bold them or put (link) after them. :/

 • 11.28.2006 10:43 AM PDT

Shishka, will the themes at one point be updated to fix these little problems?
