I'm sorry. It is just something I am inclined to do. You know, I help out 20 people just to hear that one "Thank you". I just like to help people, whether they see that's what I'm doing or not. It feels good to me. And that's probably selfish but as long as it doesn't hurt someone else, why not. I know that you are trying to help out, but I will probably continue to do what I do.
But I do think these forums could use a tad bit more attention.

I completely agree with you. I am with you one-hundred percent on this one. I will to help as many people as possible just to hear a "Thank you". I, like you, recieve joy when helping someone.

Don't post in the threads telling them that they are wrong. That's just spam. Let the moderators do their job, and let them enforce the rules, because they actually have authority and power. Report the threads to a moderator, and move on. It's the best thing you can do. Also, it's mainly just about five people in New Mombasa that keep getting new accounts and spam a topic, thus turning it off-topic, and others decide to join in the spam to "argue" with the spammer.
I agree with Hobo on this one aswell. I have begun to help more through PM's than just posting in a forum. Even if it is PMing the thread creator just to help him out with a question he had or didn't get answered. If, however, there is not a mod online, then I simply reply to the thread saying something along the lines of,"Sorry friend, wrong forum. This type of thread doesn't belong in [insert forum] because it is not [insert why]. You might want to check out the [correct forum], [insert characteristics of the forum]." And then I add on to the post. Now, as I said above, this is only when there is not a moderator on at the time. If there is one online, I PM the moderator telling them that a thread needs to be moved with a link to that thread. And, of course, and explanation why it needs to be moved.
Now if the thread needs to be totally locked because of a spam/flame/breaking rules type of thread, than I just simply wait patiently till a moderator is online. Then simply send the moderator a link to the thread with an explanation as to why it should be locked.
