When you go onto a group's page, would you like an icon next to a member's name to show whether the member is on or offline?

Good idea, but it does seem rather useless.

I work at Microsoft. I have nothing to do with Halo and nothing I say is "the official word".

Yes I would.

-Quaere verum.

Got a report? Use the report tool or send a pm.
Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

An online/offline indicator for chapters seems a little pointless to me. I'm sure some chapters are pretty active forum wise so i suppose it may somewhat benifit them but i think most chapters aren't all that active, meaning it would be a waste of a feature.

An indicator for main forums? sure, i could see a use in that and hey, maybe if one is ever made it might even show up in chapters too.

Good idea but at the same time it wouldn't get much use

Yes. Yes I would. Why?

Because I like to be active in my groups, but other members aren't always in the groups while they're on. So, if I could tell if they were on or not, I could PM them and we could get together in the group.

"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."

Eh? You would like to know when they are on...so you can talk to them at that specific moment?

I'm trying to wrap my head around, once again, the why. Why, exactly, do you need to know when someone is on? It's not like there is a specific window between posts in which you are allowed to reply. And it's not like PMs will vanish if not read within a certain time slot of receiving them.

I don't think its necessary. There's probably a reason we don't have such a simple thing in the first place.

If this ever were implemented, I would want an Appear Offline function like on XBL. I prefer lurking in shadows.

(10:19:49 PM) Scruss: oh and pezza, i saw what you did to that cat
(10:20:17 PM) Pezza: You were the one with the video camera breathing heavily. Of course you saw.

Heck, I would like to see it happen in the regular forums. Would be a cool feature to have.
