Dude, I saw a show Volta played on Comcast On Demand and they are nuts in concert. Cedric and Omar flip out, whipping mics and guitars. Gotta love those afros and Omar's huge glasses.
Anyways, I find some of At the Drive-In's music to be too "emo" at times. RoC is very solid, but I disliked In/Casino/Out a great deal. Vaya's got that sick "Rascuache" and "Proxima Centauri" but that's all I like. It makes me sad, because when I like a band, I tend to like everything they make.
You know who else is a good band? Dredg. Good powerful music. Check out El Cielo, their second album. Their first, Leitmotif, is much heavier and vocals are kinda rough, but the riffs are sweet.
Do you mean Glassjaw, the band right? I heard some stuff by them a few years ago, and it was damn good. Thanks for reminding me about 'em.
