I don't know if there have been any previous plans of this, and searching just gives me sarcastic posts relating to my topic.

My topic is to create a Bungie Spell Check feature. Maybe not the most necessary feature, but a useful one. It would be another button, next to preview, cancel, submit. I know that i find people who consistently put a little (sp?) next to every other word annoying, and most users try to have good grammar and spelling here.

i dont think its that complicated a program to put in (i have no experience with that though)

comments? concerns? rnats telling me what a bad idea this was?

OOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRR

you could just use the spell checker on every mass produced computer in the world

  • 11.28.2006 6:27 PM PDT

People who need the feature most wouldn't use it.

*Sgt

Or let them learn how to spell by themselves.. then, if they were that desperate to use good grammar they would stick to simple words so we could rate everyone's popularity based on grammar.

Or you could use "ieSpell". Both myself and Recon (And I'm sure other members) use this one. It quite good.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

I would like a Bungie.net spell check, but I know its never going to happen. I use spellcheck.net, and that's good enough. If there are so many 3rd party of system integrated spell checkers out there, there is no need to put one here. Its not worth the effort.

Thanks for the link. It works very well. I had to add my password though because it would beep every time I logged into this site!

Gimpy, don't be an idiot. Comparing the wiimote to the power glove is like comparing sex to dieing.

For some reason, when I reinstalled Firefox, It had a spell checker built in.

It's pretty neat-o

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

I could use a spell checker.

im an ok speller, but my typing is terrible.

Not necessarily.. It's not very hard to open it up, either type your post in there, or type it here, then copy and paste appropriately. I say taking out about 30 seconds of extra time on each post would sure make many of those people with terrible spelling become a lot more liked around here.

A little effort, a little reward?
