Nice, I actually wasn't thinking of underwater catacombs but that would be tight. I also was mentioning a catawalk/footbridge under the vehicle bridge.

Cause then we can have like a collection of maps, we should also save all our map ideas in word

Yeah...im gonna make a downloadable PDF format with visuals and text. We'll totally save all this stuff and give it to bungie. I mean...if I was a bungie employee and I read some of these ideas, I would be thinking...man I wish we had this now. I want to play it now!

As far as getting more people into the thread...just wait it out i guess. It takes time to think up great ideas. If you really wanted to push this one individually, you could post your ideas that correlate on other threads, and then tell them to visit this one if they want to see more cool ideas. And of course invite them to post here as well. That's what I'm doing.

This map is an a 3 story arena called Killtower (Working title, I'll think of a better one)
This map is circular. In the middle of the bottom there is a bunker. There are several side tunnels similar to those found in Derelict. There are 2 sets of stairs in the tunnels that lead to level 2's encirculing tunnels. 4 sets of covered stairs lead up to level 2 from the bunker. This creates lots of suspense because as the stairs are covered you never know whaen someone is coming down. There is a pillar on top of the bunker level 2 does not have an entire floor but rather citcles the arena and has a platform you can jump to in the middle that encircles the pillar. There are tunnels in th side and the place where the stairs from the level one bunker reach level 2 is covered. 3 sets of stair lead to level 3. Level 3 does not open up to below. It has structures and things to make combat better. It also has a portal to the bunker. This map is sort of hard to visualize so I'll have to send a drawing of it. Think of it as a mix of Derelcit Wizard and Rat Race

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

Hey. I think I have to admit that I read a thread from the first post toi the last and never got bored! I have an idea for a sweet map for CTF or any other gametype, but coolest for CTF . I dont know the name yet but It would be like a place with a bunch of decommissioned ships and all in a big junkyard like setting. There would be two large Capital sized ships at either end of a sandy canyon with large cliff walls. There would be large holes in the Capital ships for you to climb into and also large piles of mangled hunks of metal leading to holed or broken in entrances to the higher levels. There would be tons of scrap metal in between the two Capital ships and mabye some longswords and such. Mabye the longswords could have extra missles that were destructable. Also the hanger for all the vehicles could have a door that was activated from inside the base and large metal planks would serve as a ramp onto the ground. It would be sweet for snipers in the small holes in the ships, but not a pure sniping level because once you got down into the scrapmetal there would be lots of spots to hide.

That's is pretty cool. I think that if the scrap metal was twisted and intricate enough, it could lead to infinately many cool sniping points. I would really like to have a stage where someone could be that sneaky--besides that's what a good sniper needs; plenty of places to relocate! I would have literally about 100 different decisions for you to make. jump from one piece of scrap to another that leads to the second floor of a building. The building (two stories high) is in shambles because a pelican crashed across the top of it. You can see through to the basement because a covenant phantom crashed straight down to the bottom. If you decide to go to the trouble of looking at the crash in the basement you'll find a overshield.

This is great. Hahaha also, if you were sly enough to find a way to the TOP of the pelican and into the seating area you would come across a plasma swors and some medkits. Also mabye if you shot plasma wepons or grenades at certain rods leaning on stuff, tou could cause tons of metal to slide down blocking one area off but creating a new one. That would be great for confusing a flag carier on his way back to his base.

I have a sketch of one side of the map. It would be kind of a blood gulch shape, dustier and a lot higer canyon walls, and also longer and wider.

no idea. I posted a new Map at the other thread about the contest tho. I gotta get the scanner up and running and I will email you the pic of my map. Ill admit im no the best drawer but im not the worst either. Oh I also have some more sick ideas for my junkyard level. It would be awsome to have turrets in little sheet metal made bunkers. Just some big peices of heet metal braced up on some metal beams with a hole and a turret in it. That would be awsome for having a guy in when your comin back with the flag. Imagine their surprise when its 2 chasing one and they come around a bend. They think to themselves "Yes! We got it back!" Then suddenly hear chaingun fire opening up and in a matter of seconds both are dead.

Stage 2
Desolation


Picture a crater formed by a nuclear reaction in the middle of a human city. Lot's of rubble to climb over and crawl under. Lots of sniper points to choose from in the crippled buildings. Just be careful when you are caught. Some of these buildings won't be anything more than just one wall left standing and a thick pipe leading up to a window. Doesn't sound very sturdy! And is isn't sturdy. Some buildings are completely destructible! A well placed rocket will send it down! Or if you are running away with the flag, someone can shoot buildings down on top of you! If you are in a vehicle, be careful not to hit the flimsiest of these buildings, or else they'll bury you or block where you are going. This is the kind of stage that presents plenty of those opportunities for true halo worthy, unbelievable miracles. For instance, you are in the car with the flag and you here the swoosh of a rocket being unloaded from it's launcher. You quickly fishtale into a building next to you and the debree crashes behind you into the rocket only seconds away from robbing you of victory! Wow, that was a close one. But wait, another guy two blocks away was looking on his teammates screen. He has a good idea of where you are, so he fires his rocket into the building closest to him (STARTING A DOMINOE EFFECT OF BUILDINGS THATS GOING TO END ON YOUR WARTHOG!!!!). Yes indeed, this game type will great for any game type--especially Odd Ball. The ball would be placed smack in the middle of the crater. Well, Im going to add more to this level later...but feel free to offer your ideas. We need to make this stage a maste-(chief?)-piece!!!
