My map would be a huge map with a small village in the middle and this map would be an island paradise. But each team starts randomly scattered throughout the island with no radar and it would be hard to find your teamates because the island would be 4x the size of asault on the control room. But to make conditions harder the sky would be fixed with lightning, red fiery ash,and falling debris. There would also be waves that you could outrun on the beach but if a wave catches you... you'll be swimming with the fishies.Like debris would catch 1 tree on fire and all trees would start burning by the fire spreading... but fo safety there a some hills, and mountains some have bases on top with turrets and maybe and banshee or warthog. The bases are also dangerouse because there is lightning... get striked and there'll be a crate where you stould but your teamates would only see a big flash coming down into a limb and you falling to your feet on fire and a small crate... or no crater at all.But there would be on base hidden... concealed by caverns 300m down into the ground like on reach.but the huge 8m thick blast doors are controlled by a generater somwhere on the island and you would have like 3 people guard the generator and the rest of you get weapons/health galore.

I think it could go better from normal CTF'S like Zanzibar where you can open doors so jeeps can come in

Ok here are a few unserious ideas's that are stupid but potentially fun!

First One: Warthog Sumo

Players: 2-16 (Teams or Free for all)

Basically have a large circle and the object of the game would be to push each other's warthogs off the side of the map into oblivion. It would be cool to customise what they fall into such as water, pillows, lava or a covenent drinking club. You could either have a flat ring or one with obstacles or bumps. Winner would be last team or player standing.

Second One: Death Ring

Players: 2-16

It would be melee combat presented like a boxing match with 2-16 players for a battle royal! Basically it would be a fairly small sqaured circle which would have a ramp for the players to get on. Once they are all on the ramp would retract so they can't leave. Ring would be surrounded by fire. Then the bell would sound and the last team or player alive wins the
belt(s)!. Teams or all against all.

Here is my slightly more serious one.

Idea: The Man with the Golden Halo Pistol.
Players: 4-16
Terrain: Like the level the Silent Cartographer from halo 1 but on a island in the middle of a lake surrounded by forest.

Somewhere on the Halo Ringworld there is a prototype of the origional human pistol that terrorized countless players in Halo 1. This one was deadlier then the standard issue pistol as it killed in 1 shot. Two Search teams from the Red and Blue teams have travelled from Earth to find this pistol to dominate the upcoming war against each other. To find the pistol they must search a underground human facility and crack a code to unlock the location of the pistol. Clues of the code are scattered across the errie concrete catacombs.

The first part of the map would be finding the Golden Pistol. Whoever finds it first will have a advantage especially if the man with it is a super shot. Once a team finds the pistol the real battle begins.

Then the second part begins and the two teams will enagage in a war to wipe each other out to become the unchallenged masters of the Spartan Super soldiers.

As the two teams find the pistol there will be vicious fighting on the area as they try to stop each other from finding the Golden Pistol. Once the pistol has been found the batlle begins proper with dropships dropping off tanks, warthogs etc at each base. Both teams objectives will be to destroy 3 gun emplacements that each team have at the edge of thier bases, then to break into the central base by opening the main gate that each base has. Then finally to activate the self destruct sequence that each base has to blow it up.

Once the base has been blown up the team who has had its base blow up can no longer respawn and will be fighting for thier lives. Once a team has been totally crushed then that team has lost and the other has found total victory in the battle.

This has to have a lot of players or it will have not too many firefights. Maybe this idea is too complicated but tell me what you think!

What i meant was is that Halo 2 levels will have interactive features like Zanzibar where you can open doors to let in the jeeps.

i have an awesomely planned level that takes place in a barricaded street in a fictional city called delta city. This city was long ago abandoned, due to forecasted covenant landings in the city. shops are boarded up, and vehicles left empty, making for a great battle environment. The underground car park contains all of the combat vehicles, plus a few more surprises. Since the main street has such a thin layer of concrete covering the underground car park, It is very easy to blow a hole through the ground, leading straight to the car park. Shops can be entered by shooting the boards off the doors, and all of them have stairs leading to the roofs. Atop the roofs there is a gigantic billboard sign. If the supports are cut (using a beam sword), then the sign collapses onto the other side of the street's buildings, forming a sort of bridge across.

Now that i've given you guys this info, i will post a link to the diagrams i drew very quickly. Be sure to check em out!

I think it would be awsome if you were in a glass dome in space and if you blew out a window you would be sucked outside.

Level name: Snipers paradise

Picture Boarding action. Two sides with an impassable distance in the middle. The only way to get from one side to another is across a bridge. A wide bridge, the most strategic location in the level. Whichever team controls the bridge controls traffic from one side to the other. The two sides are not levels like in boarding action but kind of Blood Gulch hills with a base on each end. You can snipe out anyone on the other side or your own, but you cannot see the bridge. The only way to gain access to the bridge is to go down there and earn it, it may be a snipers paradise in terms of destroying the enemies defenses, but you have to earn your way to their base to get that flag.

halo is only the great game it is because of the fact that the xbox pad has proper triggers if it were any other pad it would take at least 5o percent of the qaulity out. does anyone know if xbox 2 pads will have triggers they need them for the authenti feel of shooting a gun and for halo 3

Here is my rough idea. You know how in World War 1 they had trench warfare? Well, I think we should ressurrect the idea. Have a huge maze of interconnected trenches. There should also be several towers that can be seen from all trenches. These towers should have sniper rifles and ammo and 1 defendable doorway. However, people should also be able to see this sniper and shoot him down.
The entire maze should be between the 2 bases. This will prevent quick flag runs and ending the game in like 5 minutes. The partitions between trenches can be removed if people know where they are. Also, you can go on top of the maze, but there should be those vent cores activated by a proximity fuse and also mines. Warthogs will work on here but not tanks. Blown up before they go for very long.

Any feedback is welcome, as long as it's constructive.

Title-Myzeria
Recommened amount of players-up to 16
Weapon Set-everything

A huge canyon with bases at each end but secret passages all over the place. the canyon also branches off into three different areas:snow, forest, beach. You respawn everywhere but the bases are like the ones at sidewinder only the ground level is much more maze like. every vehicle also included.

Name: Two Towers
# of players: 4-16

My map would be based in an Earth city with two, 6 story high buildings facing each other. In between the bases would be a river that can either be crossed by boat, underground tunnels or by a bridge. Each building would be about same with blown out holes in the sides for sniping positions and also ledges for turrets, etc. For CTF games the flag could be placed on the very top of the base.

That stage would be pretty cool. You could have closed walkways in-between the buildings like you see in downtown hospitals. I guess you couldn't have flying vehicles for ctf though. But I'm sure you would see a lot of people launching from building to building with a rocket launcher. That would be very chaotic.

I'm starting another idea. It's called the Mjolnir factory. I haven't polished all the ideas out yet. But it will be a huge industrial factory where Mjolnir suits are made. You will be able to go outside the building, but only on catwalks the hug the building--some go to the roof. You can shoot down through triangular glass atreums to blast down onto your targets. Just make sure that what you see is indeed a target and not an empty Mjolnir suit. I'll elaborate more when I've figured out all the details.

One problem. The MJOLNIR armor is top-secret. They wouldn't have an entire factory mass producing. It should be like a weapons factory or something.

Plateau of Destruction (name open to change):

This is a sloped map, so one base (I'll call it the red base) is built into a slope. The slope is too steep for players on foot, but vehicles can get up. In the middle their is a drop-off in the plateau with two two-story bridges crossing it. both bridges are COMPLETELY destructible. Once both bridges are destroyed the only way across is by banshee or teleporter.
-Red Base:
The red base consists of multiple rooms and tunnels across 6 floors.
-1st floor (Below the bridges): complete cover from outside fire, contains health/ weapons rooms and flag.
-2nd floor (lower level of bridge): Exposed to fire from outside the base. contains crates, and fusion cores in a mixture of cover and boom!
-3rd floor (upper bridge level): Vehicles!! contains long hall way with lots of side rooms containing vehicles. Each room has three vehicles of a certain type (ghosts, warthogs, ATV’s) in the middle of the hall way are the only 2 ladders going up or down.
-4th floor: Spawning rooms for red team, and a room containing a limited variety of weapons. turrets cover the bridges.
-5th floor: Hangar, contains all flying vehicles. Also a room with shotguns and an exit to a path along the top of the map (vehicles CAN drive up from the bridges to reach you)
-6th floor: short 1 floor room sticking out of slope contains sniper rifle. Windows provide firing out of room. Roof of house is touching the slope in the back and can be used as jump onto bridge.
Blue Base: blue base is a fair distance away from the bridges, it contains 4 stories (2 underground, 1 ground floor, 1 Above ground) and two towers and is hidden in a forest.
-towers (one in front and on each side of base): contains covie carbine in the top story and an "garage" room on the ground floor with large crate to cover entrance.
-1st floor of base(2 stories under):contains flag, medkits, and large assortment of weapons.
-2nd floor of base (1under): contains barrels and fusion cores.
-3rd floor of base (Ground): contains large bay that houses all ground vehicles (unlike red base these are all in one room, think the warthog bay in "the maw") also contains energy sword.
-Top floor (no ceiling, only three walls, open side facing opposite of red base): all flying vehicles here. Also turrets facing opening of vehicle floor below.
Bridges:
-top floor: the bridges have two turrets on either side of each bridge guarding the entrance.
-Bottom floor: only accessible on foot, rocket launcher on blue side (Blue base is farther away from bridge).
