THIS IS AWSUM-READ

Mine would be a huge city. Sounds simple but not really. The city itself would be fairly intact but in the not-so-distant-distance there would be ruins of burned cities and covie ships luteing and plundering. Every building would be enterable. Imagine having a rocket launcher war in a wal-mart. That smilyface won't be smiling any more. Each base would be a military buiding at either end of the level. It would be more round or squareish so there really arn't ends. In each base there would be a gate like in Zanzabar that would have to be opened to get in and out. It would be difficult to get on top of the buildings i.e. 5 stairs would lead to a dead end but a locked room would have an open vent that led to the roof. There would be one scy scrapeer in the center that would be full of secret places and geting to the top would take a series of grenade jumps and crouch jumps. Most of the buildings would be built in mind of people trying to get out of the level and would have some nice surprizzes there.
The main surprizze of the level would be that the covanant armada would be closing in from the surrounding ruins. After a certain amount of time they would reach the city. They would compleatly fortify one base, killing all that inhabit it. Also stoping anyone from geting that bases flag. If one team got the ocupied bases flag, another 1 or 2 waves would drop in and STOP the flag from leaving. The piont of the game then would be to help the occupied base get rid of they're occupiers to buy you a few extra 10-20 minutes while the covies regroup.

I have an idea that I posted on these forums eariler so I'll do it again. I was thinking that maybe somehow the UNSC got ahold of some of the HALO pieces and made them a training ground. Anyhow this is what it would contain. If anyone read the books it would kinda be like the place where the marines set up base camp on halo. The ground would be battle torn so there would be plenty of places to stop and hide to pick a few ppl off. There would also be a lil less gravity since the ring lost its atmosphere. the coolest thing about this map though would be the sky.....im guessin since the ring blew up it would be spinnig a lil...so that everytime the player looked up you could see the sky moving. The actual bases would be on 2 seperate parts of the ring...maybe something like 3 bridges connecting them so that every once in awhile you get these across the bridge battles. Map would definatly be set up for deathmatch or ctf. I think ctf would be better for the bridges so that you could get those battles. Also, to keep in mind of the books...one of the bases would be a lil more fortifed....so that one would represent the marine stronghold....have things set up a lil more easier for that team. The other base would look pretty makeshift as thats the spot that would represent where the covies staged their attack from.

Thats how I think the lay out should be......I'm open to any moer suggestions!

Chrion LG42

This map, using the same idea as Chiron from Halo, but with alot better sence of direction, There is a total of four rooms. each one is a different environment. One teleporter leads to battler creek, another leads to longest, another leads to Derelict, and another leads to Chill out. All of these places are reached by a single hall way of teleporters. With 10 teleporters, and 2 in each map and 2 for spawn rooms for ctf, and team slayer, spawns are scattered.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. The ships are huge. Imagine a battleship or aircraft carrier of today (except for the fact that they can't move) and you'll get the idea. The ships are basically bases, you start there. The banshees and whatever they make the human piloted aircarft (if they make a human piloted aircraft) will be on these ships. Someone was having a forum discussion of boats and that's what gave me this idea.

ONE WORD -- A - W - E - S - O - M - E !!!!!!!!!!!!
You have sparked some major inspiration.

Stage 4
Atlantis

A human research center at the base of the ocean is where you will battle it out. This human base was created to covertly study and replicate the Covenant technologies. This secret installation was found out by the covenant, and now has made it to the top of the Covenant's raid list. Picture several structures on the sea bed. Each of these structures are connected by glass tunnels or teleporters. Outside these structures are huge lights illuminating the ocean floor. If you do decide you want to go outside the structures, you may do so at your own risk. By risk, I mean that you will run out of air after one minute. Plus you'll also float upwards. But you'll last a lot longer underwater in the Stingray. A covenant sub transporter with duel plasma torpedo action. You can ride these beautiful machines up to the docks of the underwater installations. For the docks, picture the one in the movie Deep Blue Sea. It is a long elevated ramp that goes from outside the water to the interior. There will be some destructable elements and some interactive elements as well. By interactive, I mean that you can purposefully flood and de-flood the glass tunnels between the stations. You can turn off some of the lights outside to make things a whole lot darker--or you can blow them up. There will be some places where you can venture outside the stuctures and float up to entrances of other structures. Capture the flag at Atlantis would rock! I'm thinking that there should be 7 underwater buildings in all. One would be a gigantic 3 story structure in the middle of the map. Lots of staircases. Picture the stair case in the first stage of halo one. That room was only two stories high, and kinda small. Mine is 3 stories and is more like 3 times as large too. You can exit and enter this room from several directions. Four glass tunnels branch off this building. They go to four other underwater structures--all unique, and all about a third of the size of the main gigantic building. If you connected the buildings from a topographical view with straight lines, they would make two diamonds which shared the gigantic building as one of their corners. The two ends of the diamonds farthest apart from each other, would be the flag barring buildings. Each building in this world would have several huge windows to view the ocean bed. You could gaze at the passing schools of fish which scramble when you shoot at the bullet-proof window, or you can spy enemy action that is taking place on a nearby neighboring structure. When you are outside you can move around covertly. Let me stress this point, because it will be worth your time to venture outside the safety of the underwater compound. Just be careful when you have the flag, because it floats as well. When you drop it, you could lose it. But you could drop it under one of the second story entrances to some of the structures where you have teammates waiting. This stage would be so fun. I especially like the underwater vehicles. Thanks for sparking these ideas SuperSniper, because I believe this might be the best map yet.

Ok heres my latest idea one underwater human city and one covenant cruiser. The city is about half a mile underwater and the cruiser is floating on the surface. The city would be almost leveled and what wasnt destroyed in the covnant raid can be toppeled (100% destuctable enviorment). The main mode of transportation would be small 1-2 person subs and teleporters. The covnant cruiser would have many points of entry some out of and under water. Insted of having to cross a feild or make your way through a forest you would have to go up and down creating spectaculer underwater battles. Well thats my idea any modifications/suggestions praise and whatever the antonym of praise is, is welcome.

I liked it. I think they should invent a good human flying vehicle for that stage, since the covenant would have banshees.

ash55 rocks for showing everyone how to get their ideas out of their heads and onto their computers; so that we can get them into our heads from our eye holes by using our fingers on a mouse connected to a computer connected to the internet! LOL! Ash55 owns the New Mombasa forum.
