Call me Wolfie | My anti-drug
New Flood for life <3

We’re looking back laughing because they called us crazy, but we took that chance on that feeling, living for the moment, we were spinning in. Maybe we were a lot of things, but we weren't crazy.

No, just edit

Brb, shower time.

the chief never fires the AR the sound you hear when he is about to jump over the cliff is an explosion of a Wraith mortar near him and it blows up smoke.

ok...um wow what i DONT GET it this

I ran the video 10+ times in Video Mach, and he is jumping in front of 12+ brutes, along with 1 in the middle who has a hammer like Tartarus did, and he appears to have a Red FLAG, (Squad Leader) and AT LEAST 7 Wraiths.

The Voice Com in his HUD is saying to a Marine,
"Any sign of the Chief?" "No sir, I think we've lost him."
The Master Chief responds....maybe to himself or over the voice com "Not yet..." Then it appears he makes a suicide attempt to stop the Covenant. As we all know, the master chief would never do this by himself, and barely with MARINES behind him, and especially when its in flat open land, with no cover

Another thing you cannot ignore is this, THIS IS HUGE, when he first stands up, you see a HUGE cloud in the background, and in the middle....is an opening, if you compare that same cloud, to the trailer, its the SAME EXACT cloud!!
Meaning, that whatever is going on, hes still in a desert, and that could is Directly ABOVE the ARC, and its spinning. The Master Chief is staring up at the sky, which, and right after that you see a blue shot going up and out of that cloud...which as we all know means that something has been activated. Either its the arc, and he knows its over, or its just a wraith shot going insanely high, your choice.

Respond and tell me what you think so far haha

Heh, ya watch it a few more times. Its just about 5 Wraith shots going up in the sky trying to reach John 117, it is not the massive blue beam that comes out of the ARK.

BTW - all this mumbo-jumbo about "if the ARK goes off it kills like the whole planet" that I keep hearing about I think is a bunch of bull. All I think is that its a massive blue beam that shoots off due to some sort of acitivation in the ARK. I do not think the ARK is meant to blow up the planet or something like that. I dont really know, I just know Halo 1 + 2, I've never read the books.

i agree with the last guy, i think it is a signal to the halos all around space and they do something weird. but i coulfd be wronge and it blows up earth but i highy dout it

Time to lock this -blam!- down... the ARK sends a message to the 7 Halos (now 6, plus 1 deactivated) and the halos begin (as i like to call it) the purification process which would destroy any possible vessels for the flood (which means every single friggin thing within 24,000 light years of the 7 halos would be destroyed). If you'll recall, the Halo that The Arbiter & crew deactivated caused a sort of stanby signal to the remaining Halos. And If you also remember, Maranda asked the Oracle where to go to activate (or for wat they want, de-activate) the purification process. "why the ARK, of course" were his exact words. so if u actually pay attention to cut-scenes instead of doing what ever the hell it is you guys are doing, you'd know that if the friggin ARK was activated then Earth, and every living thing within 24,000 light years from the halos would be F***ed... But oh I wonder? What about the areas around the Halo that chief destroyed? No idea in hell! W8 for the game to find out!!! And what about the part when it blows the -blam!- out of everything??? How will we ever stop the flood from kicking our asses without blowing the -blam!- out of ourselves???? How the Hell am i supposed to know!?!? Leave it to Bungie for coming up with Crazy ass complications...

Before that. After he pulls it off his back when hes running, he starts shooting. The he stops, you hear that sound effect thats similar to the one in sonic games when you reach "sonic speed."

  • 12.05.2006 4:44 PM PDT

Did anyone notice there was no elites in the trailer? Bungie have kept a very tight lip on the elites (weither they are allies or enemies.)

Also the sheild; i thoguht of serveral things;

One its just another weapon but that wouldnt go as MC is already carrying AR and Pistol.

Two it maybe the secret X Button that bugnie has kept a tight lip on.

Three its a new grenade type weapon

Four its a replacment for the flashlight, similar to the camo the arbiter had. I say this as the in-game "sewer/underground" type screenshot has what might be a flashlight on the AR under the barrel. so maybe they replaced it? Does anyone think this?

ok, now that I have watched it yet again and again. I think I can hear the sound of gunfire at that point, but the blast that hits near his feet at the same time covers it up.

Close but not quite. The Halo's only kill sentient life with sufficient biomass to sustain the flood. Thats how humans are alive today, the Forerunners activated the Halo's as a last resort and everything alive today was spared because it was in too early a stage to host the flood.

The Ark is not necessarily on Earth, or in the game play trailer. Its common practice with video games developers to mis guide its fans in order to create more hype for the game.

The Halo's don't use explosive force, you can tell from a combination of the books and the game thats its a wave of pure energy that kills things. How this energy kills, I do not know. Most likely just kills things instantly.

oh contrair... we are sufficient biomass...notice how we are easily taken over by the flood...life was destroyed and life came back...it evolved again...and humans did not exist during the epic Flood vs. forerunners battle... it was an earlier form of us...

Cant be. The only army personnel in the surgical bays during the augmentation precess is Chief Mendez. Chief, not Sarge. Then there are medical personnel and Dr. Halsey.

Most likely. When the Chiefs first person sequence starts, he's in shell shock. Most likely from a Wraith mortar hitting too close. Because of that, he could temporarily come up as dead on vital monitors.

yea, when he faints his bio sig probably flat lines and they are monitoring him from some remote location and think he is dead. Either that or he was trying to get to Johnson and the other marines on the other side of the Brutes/ upgraded Wraths and he was just late arriving because he got knocked out.

darn, he got his post in before me

Most likely just kills things instantly.

your first add on was already stated in the line where i said it would destroy every POSSIBLE VESSEL for the flood!!!

You said the purification process which would destroy any possible vessels for the flood (which means every single friggin thing within 24,000 light years of the 7 halos would be destroyed).

You do NOT elaborate on what the vessels could be, and based on what you said, you stated that every living thing in existence (even a fly!) is a potential flood host.

About him firing when the guns pointing at the air, is it like a single metallic click? If so, hes holstering the pistol he does do that.

Edit: He also puts a round into the assault rifles chamber when its pointing upwards, so that may be it.

New Flood for life <3

We’re looking back laughing because they called us crazy, but we took that chance on that feeling, living for the moment, we were spinning in. Maybe we were a lot of things, but we weren't crazy.

Damn, I come back and there are a million posts lol.

So far I'm reading some good ideas. I've watched the ad about 27 times now, still looking for clues.

You clearly state that the Halo's kill all possible flood vessels, then in brackets say something along the lines of 'in other words all life is destroyed.'
Fly's are alive, so I'm merely explaining how flawed your logic is.

SO I am asumming that the shield was from the grenade.....Am I correct? Because why would he throw a grenade right in front of him then put a shield on to keep the blast inside?
If you noticed the grenade was inside the shield......My question is that is the shield the "x" button or a new grenade.......So that makes 1 2 3 4 grenades!!!!!!!!
