ok....the two children are john as a child and his friend kelly. they are both spartans. in the commercial the master chief was having some sort of blackout caused by him landing on his head and poppin his helmet off. this was when he was having the flashback of his childhood on Reach.----some people say that in one seen there is a tipped over warthog behind the chief and then in another soon after, there is a mongoose...its a mongoose people. the mongoose has a very similar front end to the warthog but it isnt the same, and its also smaller.....how the hell could that have been a mistake anyway, its not like they pushed the wrong button and added a mongoose on accident lol.
while im on the subject of halo, i have a very good theory that makes perfect sense....ok, i believe that the humans are the forunners...yup you heard me, the humans. i believe this because in the halo books it describes how the humans find an odd christal object that makes the space time continuem all wacked out (read first strike). also in the book the flood, where it would take place on the 2nd lvl of halo when you go in the cave, the master master chief goes to the light bridge activation panel quote from book pg 84 " the display's shimmering geometric patterns nagged at him, as if he shohuld recognize them somehow. even with his enhanced memory, he couldn't place where he'd seen them before. they just seemed...familiar." it goes on a little more about how he didnt know how he knew what to do but it just felt right. there are many other reasons why i believe this, but to truely understand what im saying, you must read the books to get it and see for yourself.
No offense, but that cant be Reach. I used Sony Vegas to navigate it frame by frame, and the last frame of the night scene, and the first frame of the war zone scene are almost the same. By switching between these 2 frames repeatedly, I was able to see extreme similarities between the 2.
The helmet doesn't move, the grass to the sides is the exact same in both, so both scenes are at the same place. The only difference is the ravages of war have destroyed the vegetation making it LOOK like a desert, but it is in fact most likely the same place.
Reach was glassed by the Covenant, and they finished their operation there. There would be no need for the Chief to be on Reach, nor the Covenant. The Chief is too valuable to send to another planet when Earth is under Covenant siege.
