Heh, this is a good poll. Who wouldn't want to see a no-holds-barred wrestling match between a Hulk and a Brute?

Hulk wins that hands-down... its like twice the size of a brute! Although I would like to see some good Hunter Vs. Hunter action... or maybe blue troopers and black elites duking it out?

I know a match where the Covenant have the upper hand (from the looks of it, anyways); Wasps vs. Drones. While they are probably equal in annoyance factor, the Drones just look...evil.

The Pfhor would wipe the floor with the Covenant... there'd be no competition.
1) Juggernauts whoops anything
2) Access to Tycho copies
3) Access to far more numerous slave races
4) Troopers have grenades, and dying hunters explode
5) Trih'Xeem... aint no stopping that baby!

Not me.

2) Access to Tycho copies

Covenant have access to Cortana copies, apparently. And anyway, I outwitted Tycho good.

3) Access to far more numerous slave races

You have a point

4) Troopers have grenades, and dying hunters explode

Grunts and elites have grenades. Although Marathon hunters are much cooler. No stupid weak spot.

5) Trih'Xeem... aint no stopping that baby!

Again, except me. Unless I end up at Carroll Street Station again. :(

Overall, I think this poll is just as stupid as any other "x vs. y" poll. Just an opinion.

-S

Interesting... The slavers versus the zealots.

The Pfhor fighters and enforcers would stand no chance against even a small pack of Covenant.

A Drinnol, or "Hulk" would kick some ass, but they're not technically Pfhor. Neither are S'pht. That leaves Pfhor Hunters, which while scary and badass, I do not believe they'd last long against a Covenant hunter.

Also, the majority of juggernaut related kills would be from the death explosion more than from the damage they could do.

One thing that makes it difficult to directly compare is that with the advancement of technology for Halo, enemies could act more intelligently and do things like dodge. So really, andy statement of a Marathon unit being better than a given halo unit would be speculation for the most part.

I'd say the Marathon Hunters beat out the Covenant Hunters because the covenant hunters sucked in Halo. Hopefully they got an upgrade in Halo 2. The Marathon ones also had that awesome howl that would scare the -blam!- outta you and were fairly armored, particularly the blue ones.

Juggernauts would still be powerful opponents, as they have target tracking missiles and the dual alien weapon things on them. Their massive explosion upon death would just be nice. I'd pick a juggernaut to defeat the Covie flown Banshees and Ghosts, and probably their tanks as well. Juggs took a lot of missiles to down. Can't remember an exact number right now.

If you upped the projectile speed of the Pfhor fighters shots they would not be too bad, as well as faster moving green and purple fighters. As it is, any Pfhor fighter could probably be slaughtered by some Covie grunts. Enforcers would do ok, but elites would mop the floor with them as it stands. They would need to be given dodging abilities to stand up to them.

The trooper would probably be the most powerful Marathon ground unit in a crossover fight. Covies wouldn't be able to stand up to the projectile grenades very well, and since they blow up on impact the good dodgers like the elites would get smacked by them. Along the same line the Cyborgs would do very good as well with their target tracking bouncing grenades.

you gotta remember that troopers seem to make up a fair portion of the phfor ground forces, so take that + enforcers + Juggernauts + cool big ships like the covies and you have a pretty even fight on your hands.

The Pfhor kick too much ass.

Personally, I'd like to see them one last time before Halo 2..

...Marathon, anyone?
