What he said.

I agree, Ipjuunin, Cox is a pretty naughty sounding word. I still can't get over it ever since I moved here to Rhode Island. "I heard Cox provide some great service." *.*

Nah, port forwarding doesn't hate you, he just loves you. And love...hurts...[/creepy Jaws music in background]

Aha, just kidding dude. Anyways, port forwarding can be complicated and frustrating for newcomers, I tried doing it, and had to take aspirin for headaches 10 minutes later. xD

Try enabling all the nessacery ports in your firewall FIRST. If that works, than you could skip the hard parts. But if that doesn't work, then...I don't know, try getting some help from portforward's user forums. Or download their port-forwarding tool.

Don't worry about it. Everyone has faults.

Now for your request, I'd be delighted to do it, only if I knew how to properly forward ports, and how to record browsers. =/

are you saying you dont remember how to get to all the sites or points where you change numbers... (yea, sounded childish), etc.? Well, whatever the poop you need to do for all this... right now I'm at this part where i put 192.168.1.1 into the address, go to Applications and Gaming and put in Halo1, Halo2, Halo3, etc.

If you do, i don't need pictures, just a step-by-step instruction manual ;D

Go to the portforward.com's store (I think it's in the store tab), click it, and look for a free download that allows you to forward ports, or should I say, the machine does it for you. I forgot what it was called, but you can't miss it. It looks pretty sweet.

First you need to find out what model of router you have. then go to portfarward.com. Click the link called "Forwarding" and scroll down until you find your router. Click that and it'll give you a list of programs. And Halo is in there. just follow the directions.

If you can't do that, then ask your parents. Or read the router manual.

i've followed every stinking direction there is...

unless the firewall part is what is screwing me up?

by the way... is the static ip the IP address of your computer or the Internet IP Address that u c when u open up the one window with 192.168.1.1 and you go to the status section? (if u need the pass in, just put admin, no username)

HERE YOU GO:

ok, open up any internet browser.

type in
192.168.1.1

in the box, assuming you haven't changed from default, username is nothing, leave it empty. Password is simply the word "admin" without quotes.

Now click on advanced, and forwarding, or something similar, as yours may be different. From there everything should be explanatory except for IP. Simply right click on the internet icon thing in the system tray(bottom right), and click status. Then go to the support tab and check what it says after IP address.
