Blue Team...the last of the gunslingers.

I registered with a netpassport accound that has no active email address and uses the microsofts live id service. I put my alternate email address to something i use all the time, will the information be sent to the alternate email address?

So I signed in and confirmed my location and birth date now I'm looking at a white screen. I started as soon as it came up for me. I wish we had confirmation to whether or not it was received.

Nearly everyone I know has been getting the white screen at the end with the copyright information and such. I'm assuming there is supposed to be some type of text or grahpic congradulating you on your registration but it just isn't loading?

It would be nice if you could clear this up for alot of us KP.

-------THOSE GETTING THE WHITE SCREEN-------

Keep trying, I'm guessing it's due to the massive traffic the site is getting, but keep trying until you DON'T get a white screen, but a black background with a form that prompts for your information (name, address, phone, etc.)

Should we just reload the white page?

Wut if it was the exact same URL as the halo3.com one, does that mean I am truly registered?

Holy slow-loading-page batman!

Grr... I bet a whole ton of people who are outside of the criteria for Beta Testing are also trying to sign up anyway. Would probably slash a lot of traffic if they read:
* Must be at least 17 years of age (sorry kiddies)
* Must be in Canada or the US (sorry rest of the world)

I blame them!!!

No seriously... I kid ;)

Hey, I kept getting the white screen and eventually I got through to a screen that said "Registration successful! Thank you for participating!" follow this link for a screen shot http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c305/m450n/Halo3beta.jpg

I used that link that we discovered before we were supposed to... the direct link. I registered, signed in with this .net account (exobit@hotmail). At the bottom it asked for email addy, I put in PCwhipped@hotmail, which is my mailing addy. I thought maybe they would want my linked addy, so i re-registered, same details, same .net pass, just changed that email to also be exobit@hotmail. Will this be a problem?

I'm assuming since everyone has been getting that same screen after sending their information that it's what's supposed to happen. Maybe the lack of bandwidth available is disallowing the picture or text that's supposed to be there congradulationg you on your sign up.

You want to know what it'd be like to have no moderators on this site? Try this easy to prepare simulation.
Step 1: Procure yourself an intact box, something a fridge or similarly large appliance.
Step 2: Fill cardboard box halfway with feral cats. One or two should be rabid.
Step 3: Climb inside the box, closing the top behind you.
Step 4: Begin screaming and thrashing wildly at the cats.

Same here. After I gave all of my information I got the white screen. I refreshed the page and nothing happened so I am guessing it might be ok. I would like confirmation though.

KP-Please just explain what should be happening here, because a lot of people seem to be confused.

No, either start again from halo3.com or press back till you get to the country selection page. refreshing the white page just brings back the white page again.

I see some posts about people using direct links. I don't actually KNOW that this is bad, but I do know that Bungie just said not to do it in their news post, They said only trust the official link (halo3.com). It's up to you if you use a direct link, but I'd rather not risk it.

Well the farthest I got was to the registration form filed it out etc. and then got the white screen and did it go through or is there more then that?

When I got the white screen with the microsoft copyright, I just left the browser open and eventually, when I went back to it, the form had popped up. There was no progress bar to indicate loading but it must have been doing something. I don't know how long it was on the white screen, didn't check back often, but it wasn't more than 20 minutes.

Until you see a screen that says 'congratulations your registration is complete!' (or something to that effect anyway.)I wouldn't trust that it's been registered. All these hits on the site are making it do crazy things.

Rockets zipping past my ears, bullets ricocheting off my sheild, and somebody is trying to give me a headache.

Hey guys don't feel bad, I think we're all getting that white MS screen. I actually made it to the application part 3 times, but after that, it was the white screen. KP, what's going on? Is it because the site is overloaded?

There's been a lot of rampant speculation going on today regarding the Halo 3 Beta and the sign-up page for it. Going through the now live Halo3.com is the only way in which you are guaranteed to have actually registered. Do not trust direct links to the sign-up form, only access it through Halo3.com.

KP... i need to know...

i'm a rabid fan that signed up earlier... should i try to do it through the whole process again...?

I'm scared because it says one registration per person and i don't want to look like i'm cheating... i just want to register!!! will a second attempt by me get me nixed from the list?

please help me.
