To the people of the Bungie.net Forums. Moderators, Members, and Admin included:
I'm not going to bother to explain myself further. Call me childish all you want. Call me arrogant, call me whatever. Do you honestly think i care about how I come across in my words? I expressed my opinion, and did so validly. My words are there, read them. A disgustingly large number of you have responded to this thread without doing so. You respond, implying that you read the thread, but you miss the point. I didn't think I would have to spell it out for a great number of you, but apparently I do.
I do NOT live in AUS, the UK, or NZ. Read those words. I. Do. Not. Thus, I'm not angry or whining about me not being able to play the Halo 3 beta. Hell, I don't even own an Xbox 360. It is in my opinion that Bungie and Microsoft overhyped the first-released news about the Beta being public (I'm not going to bother putting quotes or links. You all read that news article, you all thought it was a cool thing, most of you want to play it). And with the further release of the news about playability being restricted in UK, NZ and AUS, it was, in my opinion, disrespectful of Bungie to do so. They haven't told us the whole truth, yes, but to me, the whole truth is going to be a restriction on the Beta. In other words, not public. Am I wrong? No, not yet. Will I be wrong? Possibly. Will I feel like a fool for bringing up my concerns? Absolutely not. Why? No, I'm not being arrogant about my beliefs, I'm merely observing a change in Bungie's treatment of its fans. And I'm not the only one who has seen it. You've all seen other people's opinions regarding this change, in more or less words.
I'm not angry because I won't get to play the Beta. Were I to actually live in AUS, NZ, or the UK, I probably wouldn't play anyway because I most likely won't own a 360 before the finished Halo 3 product comes out. Hopefully that will get the point across that I'm NOT whining about not being able to play the Beta.
And this is why you have to read the threads in front of you.
To most of the members who have responded to this thread:
Try to read things more carefully from now on. Too many of you have furthered unnecessary bickering because you're too quick with a temper. There's an unappealing number of you that will become too quick to form an opinion based on anger once someone disagrees with Bungie or the Moderators of this forum. Pull your heads out of your asses, and treat threads equally, without pre-supposed bias just because they are speaking out against that which you throw blind respect to.
To the Moderators who have responded to this thread (Aside from Pezza):
You want respect? Do something to deserve it. Stop your bawling about how the forums ain't nice to you, and do what Bungie selected you to do. Do it right I posted on the grievences of the moderators before, so I won't bother doing it again. You're as disrespectful as most people are on these forums, so don't act high-and-mighty just because you have the power to lock, delete, and ban. And don't tell me that you don't act that way, because you most certainly do. At least have the decency to admit to the less respectable parts of your internet personalities.
And no, I'm NOT talking about the people who have NOT responded to this thread.
With all this being said, you won't see me anymore on the Bungie.net public forums. I'm disgusted with how things have changed. Ban me if it satisfies your collective egos.
It's called "difference of opinions". There are members here who do not believe your opinions are correct, however that does not make them any more right than you. The point is, you are essentially saying that your opinion is the only valid one on the subject.
The Halo 3 beta is public and restricted. That is not an opinion, that's a fact. It just so happens that international members will have to wait to see exactly how restricted the beta will be. As it stands, it is my opinion that Bungie will be opening up registration internationally for more than a few hundred people.
