my apoligies if this has come up before, but i want to know why people prefere the Duke controller when playing to Halo compared to the S Controller? Surely the S is easier to navigate, or is it just because the Duke was out first, therefore when Halo came out?

The S-Type. Dukes are just too big.

Those people are crazy. Or they have really big hands. Or they're crazy guys with really big hands.

Duke all the way. I'm just used to it, the other ones are too small. I can use them, but not for halo. I find it easier to aim with the bigger ones.

I can use any controller. I just feel the bigger ones have thumbsticks that are easier to manipulate better.

When barbecuing veggie burgers, be sure to tie your long hair back. That will keep it away from the flames, you stupid hippie.

I'm a man with a fork in a world of soup.

As a crazy guy with big hands, the Duke is all I can use.

My friend loved his Duke controllers, which sucked when you went over to his house and had to play Halo with it, it wasn't the size but the fact the damn black and white buttons are in a different spot.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

I still have and use my DUKE!

I am proud of it.

The S contoller was just to dam small, i need a man controller.

I have the same issue with the S-Type. I'm not used to the black/white button positions, and it's too damn small. Being 6'7" and huge has disadvantages. For XBox, I was raised on the Duke (or Hamburger, which it is known as around here for some reason) and Halo, so for me they compliment each other.

The 360 controller is a stupid excuse for people's suckiness!

I play fine with all controllers but I prefer the S. I just never liked the A,X,B,Y arrangement of the Duke.

I use the S-Type, or "Shred" as it's called around here (lots of guitarists in my parts). It's more ergonomically effective, and my hands don't cramp up as often using the Shred than the Duke.

The small type is more comfortable but there the Duke just feels at home for Halo. Halo 2 I actually use the S controller but Halo is just a Duke game for me.

Inside there voices echo still:

I like Halo.

STEPPIN LIGHTLY Jumping Challenge Map by Yours truly.

LOTR - Nightwish music video by Yours truly.

I got my Xbox when the S-type just came out, and I can't dream of using that huge Duke... ever. It's so bad.

I did, however, play Halo on a Duke recently just for -blam!-s and giggles, and my natural thumb motions I'm used to, that make me press the 'Y' button are exactly where the 'B' button is on the Duke. So everytime I wanted to switch weapons, I would slap the air. When I wanted to press 'X', I would jump. Bad news.
