Hey guys,

I know this will sound really off-topic, but I was wondering if my new video card could run Call of Duty 2 on full settings. Here's my system:

ATI Radeon X1300 256 MB PCI
512 MB RAM Shared DDR2
Intel Pentium 4 Processor 2.4 MHz

Yeah, I know it's not high end or anything, but it would be nice to know if I could at least run the game on DirectX 9 rather than 7 using even Normal texture settings.

Please don't flame me or anything, the only reason I ask here is because you guys are the most tech-savvy on these forums...

Don't listen to him, I use Dx9 and my system is ALOT weaker than yours.

That will be able to run the game pretty much on high. My system with a Radeon 9200 and 512 RAM runs it with all video settings all the way up perfectly.

minus the dx9 effects of course, the 9250 doesnt even support dx9 so it runs it in dx7 which is A LOT easier to run.

9250 runs at dx8, not 7, it does partially support dx9, cause it plays halo just fine

..., halo doesn't need a dx9 card to run.

Hey all,

Don't worry anymore, I just found the answer. According to a video card review site, they tested CoD 2 on the X1300 on DX9 with maximum settings and got 24 FPS average. While that's definitely playable, I'd probably just tone it down from Extra resolution to Normal to boost the FPS.

Thanks everybody.

Man, your computer makes me go all like this when I think it could run CoD 2.

Damn that game is resource hungry...
