I don't agree with cutting down on the Stickies. I agree, however, with changing the description. Whether or not you are supposed to read the rules and Stickies whenever you enter a forum. If you get blacklisted for not obeying them then that is too bad.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Hah. Like people even read the stickies.

I read them, heck I even have most of them bookmarked. They are chock full of useful information. This information just isn't related to rules, but to the community, oldschool Bungie games, etc. They serve as a place to keep a cache of useful information that users took to create.

Yes I believe The Underground description should say something like "A Forum for Oldschool Bungie related topics"

well true, but I think the reason they keep them there is because they want newbies to see what will happen if you make a topic about halo.

Maybe it's just me XD.

Well there are 2 reasons that I see for not deleting a locked thread:

* You let the user know what he/she was reprimanded for.
* New users can see what not to do in a thread

Truetrocity! Everyone need to be able to learn from their mistakes.
I don't think that much can be done about cleaning up the Underground. It gets all those topics because its the first forum, and new members don't read the stickies. The web team would have to rearrange the forum layout to fix this. Then whatever they listed first would get all those topics. And we would be right where we started again.

Possible. I think that a more attractive or at least flamboyant description could really change peoples minds.

The phrase THIS IS NOT A HALO BOARD is slightly deceiving. True, it is not a place to talk about the games. Discussions about the Halo novels, the HGN, and the as-of-on-hold Halo movie are allowed though. I can see how this could be slightly confusing to people not familiar with the place. Perhaps a better warning would be THIS IS NOT A HALO GAME FORUM.
