Do you ever just go into the Halo 3 forum and spam/flame the threads and users there? It seems kind of fun to me. And we all know that that is what that forum is for: flaming and spam. It seems to be the sole purpose why it was created. The mods don't enforce the rules in there enough, and people go rampant with their posts; I've seen 2-3 page threads that are nothing but flame wars. So do you ever go in there for no reason other than to join in on the fun?

The Frozen Minority - The most infamous clan borne from the Seventh Column.

I go in there when I want an ulcer. Which is not that often. I would highly discourage going in there with that sole purpose because you just drew a large amount of attention to yourself, not specifically the H3 forum.

"I can accept failure, everyone fails at something, but I can't accept not trying." - M. Jordan

No. It's hard not to when people post the same boring thread topics over and over again. Mods must fall asleep at their screens from being bored.

Unless they have their favorite dvd playing behind them just refreshing the board to check up.

I really try not to. But sometimes the lack of common sense, or the lack of ability to read anything but your own topic's replies gets on my nerves, and I just pop.

Always, actually. You read my mind.

I do indeed go there with the sole purpose of flaming, yeah.

When I post in the halo 3 forum it's because:
* I'm explaining why I'm locking the thread.
* I have to warn someone about breaking the rules.
* I'm explaining why a certain person got banned.
* I have to clear certain things up.

Wonderful forum, isn't it?

Whenever I'm in a bad mood, it really can be! Flaming gives me a nice feeling when I know I'm right (which, in the Halo 3 Forum, it isn't hard to be). I also go there when I'm feeling stupid.

I don't go there. It's so.....pointless. I'll skim through every single forum except for halo 3.

No.

And you shouldn't either.

Wait a minute...you've lost me.

People post in the Halo 3 Forum?

I posted twice on the day it was made. I never made that mistake again.

No. I have a life.

I go there just because I feel like it. I forum surf. I go from one to the next, and if I see something that catches my eye, I go there and check it out.

I have flamed once, and Shishka caught me. I try to stay away from people who pick flamefests.

I go in the Halo 3 forum all of the time.

When I do, it's nearly always to create or respond to threads I feel address an interesting aspect of the upcoming game; whether amusing, intriguing or downright stupid.

Now, this being Bungie.net, the vast majority are indeed under the 'stupid' catergory, but that doesn't stop me wanting to post on the forum.

At the end of the day, this is Bungie's official space for fans of the series to come along and voice their opinions or thoughts with the like-minded. Tell me, what makes one person's love of the games any less valid than anothers? I am often just as irritated at much of the self-important garbage I see the more intelligent members of the forum spout as I am with the predictable stupidity more frequently evidenced in posts from the young and ignorant.

Alot of the crap on the Halo 3 forum seems to me to spring from the impatient, immature and excitable minds of young children who probably don't know much better. I'm guessing from the age of 7 through to around 16. Of course, some young children are very well-behaved, intelligent and have learnt something of the value of manners; but most are still vulnerable to frequent and severe lapses of decency and/or sense.

Ultimately though that's just the territory. Sure, I've gotten disillusioned and frustrated with the behaviour from all kinds of groups I've seen around here, but you just end up coming to realize that nothing is going to change it, and that maybe your expectations might have been too demanding in the first place.

These kids LOVE Halo though. I LOVE Halo. If you love Halo, then that's nice to know! Many people love Halo.... wonderful.

Now, who's love for Halo can objectively be proved to be greater than the others? Is yours greater than mine? Mine greater than the 7 yr olds? Frank'O'Conner's better than my friend Hong Kong Stewie's? Prove it, empirically, go ahead... and the best of luck.

What I'm trying to say is that the Halo 3 forum might be mess and too often clogged with the painful rambling and absurdites of the ignorant, the young, the mentally challenged and the downright vicious, but I hardly ever come across anybody who sincerely professes to HATE Halo and is totally against the idea of Halo 3. In that respect, it's doing exactly what it's there to do...

Nothing will change it but closure.

On a final note, the kind of dim-witted garbage and absurd lunacy I witness in the Halo 3 forum is only seperated by a matter of few degrees between the different forums. Ultimately, I view all of them as jam-packed full of all varities of idiots; but the more educated and sincere the moron the far deeper my sense of amusement or angst.

While we're on the topic of the Halo 3 forum...

As I do spend a majority of my time on the Halo 3 forum, it has become painfully clear that it's going downhill:

*Most threads are under the 'stupid' category because members make threads about the same thing, so in turn, he first few pages are filled with the Halo 3 commercial and what Cortana said

*Most of the ideas/topics come from threads or ideas that have been worn out or thrown out and debunked, I do truly think that if the members cut down on the reproudction of similiar topics, that the Halo 3 forum wouldn'/t be so looked down on; Although it is the busiest forum on Bungie.net

Well, they're moderator issues.

My guess is this:

The Mods try. It is futile. They do their job now weary, bug-eyed and full of seething hatred for humanity.

Just a guess mind.

Well the members can also help out to, the Ninjas can't be locking threads all day; Its just up to most of the members to cut down on cloning threads.

I've challenged my beliefs. What is the book about?

I find that this is usually untrue. If religious people honestly, diligently and intelligently challenged their beliefs, there would be no religious people.

OMGAWD I KNO WUT X BUTUN DUS LOOK I KNO IT I NKO IT

These people practically flame themselves.

I see your point and I admire your trust in humanity. Regrettably, for many reasons, I do not share it.

Many of the members have no respect for rules and feel they have no reason to care about whether or not they repeat post. I suppose it might be worth making a sticky and setting a few examples through ruthless and unexpected perma-banning; but this might result in an ad-hoc backlash from embittered and enraged members.

I really don't see any other solution than the selective culling of the worst kinds of excess.

EDIT: It's also worth bearing in mind that some repeat-threads may simply be accidental. I've done it... now and again. You know, just missed an obscure little thread on page 3 that suddenly pops back into action etc.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

I don't flame people in the H3 forums. I only post there to answer a question or to tell someone that I liked their theory.

I do talk about them behind they're backs though, in my chapter. And its usually a scathing critique of their intelligence.

Well you are right, many members don't have any respect and do these kind of things on purpose, but as Achronos and the rest of the mods tell us to do, stand above them.

Which I am doing.

You can find surprisingly interesting things in there. Once, I found a link to Impuri7y's kitty bucket. Now 7 pages of furry goodness. Very useful.
