Hello, everybody! This is Rare Spartan again, and i'm here to write yet another fan-fic- this time, i'm writing something called Halo: Unggoy Evolved. As you begin reading, you'll probably want to start posting things about how this is so messed up from the original Halo, as this is similar to a side story of Halo CE from the Grunts' side, but with a little more too it than just telling the story of Halo from their view as the story goes on. All be revealed in due time. Another thing I should probably point out is that this takes place right where my previous fan-fic left off, so you might wanna check that out first if you want to know what the deal is with these characters (with a link that can be found, here. I hope ya'll enjoy this one:

Chapter 1: A Warm Welcome

Out in the deep reaches of space, far from Earth, lied a magnificent structure known as the Pillar of Autumn. This enormous spacecraft was the carrier for most of the UNSC (United Nations Space Command) force during the long-running war against the alien threat known as the Covenant.
Inside the bridge at the front of the ship, Captain Jacob Keyes stood silently, staring at a large, ring-shaped object through the front, square window. To his right stood a tall, oval-shaped console, where a small hologram-looking model of a woman stood, as she too stared outside of the window. Both of them, along with the rest of the forces on board seemed more than for the Covenant.
Meanwhile, on the edge of the ship, lied the pod carriers. These were used to get in and out of the Pillar of Autumn. On the right edge of the ship, a Covenant Phantom (which looked as though it had been beaten hard by a couple of hammers in almost every section of it), floated next to an empty carrier space, where four Covenant Unggoy examined their location.
With each of them besides the squad commander/sargeant (who was in red) in black armor, the four Grunts exited the beaten-up Phantom and into the enormous spacecraft. "Ugh..Man, I was sure we were goners, after that explosion. You guys OK?", asked the Grunt squad leader, who was refered to (by his soldiers) as Sarge, or sargeant. "Yeah, we're good.", said Silco, who was not exactly the smartest of the bunch, but was highly skilled with a plasma pistol (though that's not saying much). Behind Silco stood Fisca, the least-noticed Unggoy in the pack, who honestly had no form of special ability, and simply just went where everyone else was going. Next to Fisca stood Hackle, who was of extreme popularity to the Grunt community.
"Good! Now, anyone have a clue where we are?", asked the Grunt sargeant. His soldiers nodded. A few moments later, Hackle turned to his left, where a marbel engraving was carved into the wall, saying Pillar of Autumn. Neither of them understood these writings, and after guessing what it meant for about ten minutes, they finally gave up and moved onward, and into the hallways of the cruiser.
A few moments later, as they examined the white-colored walls of the Autumn, an enormous rumble shook the spacecraft. The four Unggoy looked backwards, and immeaditely saw a whole swarm of both Elites and Grunts charging in. "Oh, thank goodness! The rescue team.", said Silco cheerfully.
Immeaditely, the Grunt commander walked towards one of the Unggoy soldiers (who was wearing yellow armor). "Soldier, if you could please tell me what we're doing here, that'd really make my day. You see-", the Grunt sargeant was interupted when the Unggoy said, "Me just here to kill humans. You talk to commander Elite. He help you answer all questions.", said the Grunt, causing the commander to go into extreme confusion. "What's the matter with you? Are you stupid or somethin'?", asked the commander.
"Me not stupid. Me just here to kill humans. Me see you later, or I get in bad bad trouble.", said the Grunt, quickly walking away a few seconds later; The Grunt sargeant turned backwards, towards his three soldiers. "So, what did you get of 'im?", asked Fisca. Their "Sarge" simply answered him with, "Honestly, guys, I think we're gonna die.".

Interesting, if this story leads to the chronicles of Halo 2, it could stay in this thread, if not, then this thread will likely be moved to the Library.

Anyway, I like the story so far, just keep in mind that most grunts are stupified, due to implants in there heads to keep them degraded. (This happened after the grunt rebellion) But a few grunts in your story, (Probably Yayap from some story as well) are probably not degraded, thus making them pure grunts, compared to most of their brethren.

These are ideas you can use in your story, if you don't like them, forget about them, but I do like story that focus on creatures, other than humans and the MC.

Grunts are mostly shepered by elites, due to being degraded early in their lives.

Btw, don't change your story if you like my ideas, just use them if you like, stories don't have to be accurately halo.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll be sure to keep the other Grunts (other than the main four) stupified. And yes, this will lead up to Halo 2 as well.

it's good to see that your back to writing Rare! Anyways it was a real good begining and I'd really wanna see how this turns out there was only a few spelling errors but I just recommend that you do this one thing

* Make sure you provide paragraphs to make it easier to read

If you do that not only with the reader out there will not lose track of where they are reading but you get to space out your ideas

Good luck Rare!

I didn't know they had phantoms backthen, I though they had those pods with the 2 overshields in them, or the "fork-shaped" dropships. Oh bother, anyway, very nice, keep it up.

Can't wait to see the fan fic.

The grunts, by my term of stupified, are not entirely dumb, but they are not stragetic, and they tend to be a bit clusmy, but devoted to serving the covenant, somewhat. (They tend to sleep on the job, but only in guard duty)

Just to say something, what you said for the grunts so far is good, I'm not sure the grunts have implants, but there are rumors of it ocurring after their rebellion.

Here is the second chapter, everyone! Note that things may still seem a little strange as you read, but thins will get a little less complicated soon...or perhaps not....Enjoy:

Chapter 2: Wakey Wakey!

With most of the Covenant forces already heading off into battle from within the cruiser of The Pillar of Autumn, The Grunt "sargeant" and his three Unggoy began pondering their location.
"But seriously, sarge, what did that guy tell you?", asked Hackle, as he and the other three Unggoy stood just outside of the pod-carrying station.
"Well, he said somethin' about 'humans' or somethin' like that. I couldn't really make out what the little guy was tellin' me.", answered the commander.
A few moments later, a Covenant Elite in gold armor called for everyone else's attention from the middle of the several dozen Elites that remained near the pod-carrying station.
"Attention, everyone! I will head towards the bridge of this cruiser. You dozen, come with me.", said the gold-armored Elite, pointing towards twelve Elites that stood near the right wall of the station. "As for the rest of you, head towards the Cryochamber, as I have given you coordinates before we arrived. That is where the demon himself rests. That includes you as well, Unggoy!", concluded the comander, pointing toward the puny squad of four. "Now, move out!"
With that, the golden-armored commander and his twelve soldiers headed out of the pod-carrying area of the cruiser, and down a long, narrow hallway with silver-coated walls. Due to their presence, alarms began going off througout the large cruiser. UNSC forces then began gathering their weapons througout the hallways of the Autumn.
"Come, Unggoy. We haven't much time to spare!", exclaimed the commander of the squad, with the rest of his men moving on. "Err...Could you explain to me what we're doin' here?", asked the Unggoy sargeant. "Were are here to weaken the human threat, of course. Now, enough with this nosense! We must move, quickly.", replied the commander, feeling quite annoyed by the Grunt sargeant's response.
Though he still did not understand what his commander was talking about, particularly his talk of 'humans', the Grunt sargeant and his three Unggoy followed the Elite's orders, and followed he and his squad.
It was not too long before, after traveling down the hallway, through several empty doorways, and finally into one last hallway, the squad (who were, on the way there, accompanied by several other Covenant forces, who had just launched their pods into the Autumn) reached the door to the Cryochamber
After the (fairly large) squad entered the Cryochamber, they quickly noticed a number of dead, UNSC forces lying on the ground. In the middle of the chamber, however, is where the squad focused most of their attention. In the center area of the chamber stood a mildly tall bed-like structure, lying back to another structure of the same design, with a large glass piece shielding it.
Unfortunately for the squad, however, the 'demon' that they were searching for was nowhere to be found within the chamber.
"Curses, we're out of time! The demon must've already gone into battle!", exclaimed the squad commander.
"Gee, ya' think?!", the Grunt sargeant said under his breath.
"Commander, above!", exclaimed one of the Elites in the lot, pointing upwards, where a glass window was built into the wall. Beyond the window, looking down at the Covenant forces, was the demon himself. The figure was built in green armor, and wore a helmet of the same color on his head. Sign of bare skin or eyes was nowhere to be found on the being.
"Demon!", growled the commander. As the figure looked down on them, he used the butt of his gun and broke the window to nothing but glass pieces, which fell to the floor of the chamber. The demon then took cover behind the other window to his right, and began shooting at the Covenant soldiers. five out of sixteen of them were already taken out with the being's assault rifle.
"Ah, what in blazes-", the Grunt sargeant said, but was interupted when the demon threw a fragmentation grenade threw the window and towards the position of the four Unggoy. Quickly, they ran backward, and took cover behind a nearby console the best that one Unggoy could do.
For atleast five minutes, the demon continued to fire at their location, and continued adding ammo to his rifle, firing random, useless potshots at the forces.
"Well, that guy's gotta run out of ammo sooner or later!", said Silco, who simply sat there with a quick sigh.

Chapter 3: Pillow

Meanwhile, far from the Pillar of Autumn's location, a young Unggoy soldier by the name of Pillow sat beneath a tree with both eyes shut, and several cuts and bruises scraped across his armor plating. The Grunt sat like this for days, months, almost a full year until he awoke from his deep slumber.
"Ugh....What happened...?", Pillow asked himself, stretching his body out as best as one Unggoy could. Quickly, the Grunt examined his location. Across the wide field stood one large, frosty mountain range. Pillow stood in awe, looking closely at the vast landscape.
"Am I- Am I dead?", Pillow asked, still speaking to himself. Feeling curious still of his location, the young soon left the safety of the large tree and decided to search for his fellow squadmates throughout the wide, grassy field.
"Hello?! Is anybody out there?! Sarge? Hackle? Anybody?!", shouted Pillow, standing right next to a large boulder in the shape of a bananna.
"Good God, sir! Would you mind? I'm trying to sleep!", said another Grunt, who just emerged from the outside of the bananna-shaped rock. Pillow took a quick glimpse at the Unggoy and recognized him immeadietly.
"You!", gasped Pillow. It was XxxPiggybackXxxx who, at a time, was part of a seperate squad of Unggoy.
"Ah, hello there, my dear Pillow. And how are we this lovely morning?", asked Piggyback.
"Don't play the fool with me!", said an angered Pillow.
"Hardly!", replied Piggyback, "I assume you just realized where you are."
"Actually, i'm still tryin' to find that out. Where are we?", asked Pillow, "And by the way, what were you doing in that boulder anyway?"
"Oh, this old thing? I live here! Come in, come in. I shall explain what I have already learned.", said Piggyback. Pillow nodded, as he followed the Grunt into the large, crescent-shaped rock......
