Interesting, I didn't think they'd finish those Advanced Special Froces suits yet.

And how do they have the 'battle rifle'... a gun that doesn't exist....

And I just noticed that they're fake.. If you look at the guy on the far left, his foot in missing from the picture at which it should be. That implies a cut and paste cover up...

Those are ODSTs taken from the game and photoshopped into the picture.

Lol oh yeah, I thought they looked a tad bit too much like they ones in the game.
Still, I know there are more similarties

Yup, but I have to say, if you don't look close, you can't tell.

You forgot somthing. Marathon. Bungie totally ripped off Bungie's Marathon. LOL! Anyways, somthing distinguishes Halo, the 2nd or 3rd best storyline ever!

Um well some of it might of come from other ideas, but remember they had to rush the game to complete it, but in halo 2 everything in halo will stay but all the new stuff will be their own ideas.

Niven's Ring World idea has been around for a while. Like his Dyson Sphere idea, any real scifi/fantasy fan should be expected to be familiar with it. Halo isn't too much like the Ring World that Niven wrote a series about...

I think you missed part of the comparison to StarCraft. Terrans are Humans. Zerg assimilate forms, Flood eat them, both assimilate minds. Protoss and Covenant have powerful but not very innovative technology, including energy shields and materials that make machines look like children's plastic toys with excessive glowing stuff. Xel'Naga (spelling?) and Forerunner are powerful ancient races and Forerunner might have guided development of some or all of the other races as the Xel'Naga did with Zerg and Protoss. That's four.

The Zerg and Protoss seem remarkably reminiscent of the Buggers and Little Friends of OSC's "Enderverse"...

Gee, how unoriginal of Bungie to use humans in their story.

Zerg assimilate forms, Flood eat them, both assimilate minds.

Far out, the concept of species/races that assimilate other life-forms isn't exactly an original idea by Blizzard. I mean, even Star Trek, one of the cheesiest pieces of Sci-Fi* has this concept. And isn't the name "Zerg" just a little similar to "Borg"?

Protoss and Covenant have powerful but not very innovative technology, including energy shields and materials that make machines look like children's plastic toys with excessive glowing stuff.

Firstly, the whole "adaptive rather than innovative" technology thing isn't new. And the "energy shields" and "glowing stuff" is a trademark of cheesy Sci-Fi.

Xel'Naga (spelling?) and Forerunner are powerful ancient races and Forerunner might have guided development of some or all of the other races as the Xel'Naga did with Zerg and Protoss.

Now that you mention it, the Forerunner also bear a marked resemblence to the Jjaro!

*Before you say anything, I'd just like to point out that Halo is also Sci-Fi as far as I am concerned. Halo 2 may give us something that will push it into actual SF. And yes, there is a difference.
