Open run and type in "dxdiag" (without quotes) and press Enter. Run all of the tests, and post your specs here.

If you expect any help from us you're going to have to be a lot more specific. Not trying to be mean, but how do you expect us to come up with any possible solutions with the information you've supplied?

Do you have a sound card?

Go back to dxdiag, copy everything on the first page and paste it here.

Bungie uses BBC and doesn't allow pictures.

First off, update to Direct X 9.0c.

Then go to This Site

It has many answers to your problem. You just have to find them.

Before I installed my new hard drive everything worked, sound Halo and resolution, now I can't change my resolution to how I used to have it, or hear.

What is the Hard Drive speed? Be sure to update your drivers again just incase.

Try updating to DirectX 9.0c

Also, buy some RAM, that is pitiful!

[sarcasm]Wow, who would have thought it was the video graphics array, I thought it was just your video drivers. [/sarcasm]

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Since DirectDraw is a video thing, (re)installing video drivers should have been the first guess.
