For Carnage, Apply Within.

I have returned from the Untamed Lands. MOAP is dead.

To piggyback off Recon's post, (not mod wannabeing MCs bro/jumpers) I think someone mentioned a long time ago that it would be cool to see the Webmaster with a mohawk in Halo 2.

Strange evolution how people have come to believe
That we are it's greatest achievement
We're barely, we're just a collection of cells
Overrating themselves

It could be just me, but the more I read, the more everyone starts to sound like the teacher from Peanuts.

I think The Septagon is a place where you can chat with your fellow intelligent users.

You offer ideas to help make the community of Bungie.net better, and discuss other things not game related. That's what I'm here for.

Just now you notice MC...

Whether they know it or not, MC is right. I've been starting to reel away from it now. I first joined trying to be a "smart-ass forum cop," but it sucks, I feel like a poser. I come here to relax, not to climb the ranks by making an ass out of myself. Popularity doesn't come by trying to act like a mod, but comes by how you interact with others. Fourm cops are cool, I have nothing against 'em, but it drives me insane how they think their better than all. They don't think they do it, but it's so true. They come posting in a thread thinking their words are brighter than the sun.

It is against ICEMAN's religion to flame, create posts(usually), spam, and be a "smartass" as you say.

Why would you refer iceman to one of thos "people" that makes smartass responses, and such, he is the nicest member of bungie.net, heck maybe the nicest of all.

It's not the smartass part, it's his popularity that bothers me. It's how he has a religion on Bungie.net. Why you people treat him like God, I don't know. He's just like everyone here, do you Iceman worshipers see that? He throws his ego around. He may no think so, but he does.

Speaking that I have been a Bungie user for a full five minutes, it looks like there is some topics on The Septagon homepage. None the less, there is some.

The reason that there isn't as many ideas to help the Bungie community is because they have already been stated, or are already in use. From the looks of my five minutes I've been here, I'm enjoying myself, and I hope it stays that way.

What ego? You act like I enjoy it or something. *edit* Don't know why you have this sudden animosity towards me. I've done nothing to you, nor have I done anything to anyone. You're really over-reacting.

Im not slamming ICEMAN, but when he first joined, he was exactly all of those things, maybe minus the flaming, but with a little trollish spice thrown in. I dont know him, I wont judge him, but you have to question the sincerity.

Like someone else said, its not even ICEMAN, its all his little Bungie Davidians offering themsleves unto Him so that they shall be delivered. This doesnt say one negative word about ICEMAN, its more a rant against the weak personalities that adore him as diety.

K, I'm just going to respond to this last bit, then stop posting in this thread.

When I first started on this site, I got off on the wrong foot. I was a bit of an "off-topic" kind of guy, and I'd say some of the wrong things at the wrong time. I'd never flame though.

One day, I saw some model posters and I'd ask them questions, which they felt so kind to respond to. That day changed me. I wanted to be like them. I read the Rules, saw what I was doing wrong, and quickly changed my ways.

Now, I'm just here to learn about Bungie, meet new people, and interact. I'm not here for popularity at all. Because at the end of the day, this "popularity" is fleeting, and useless on an internet forum.

And I don't know about this "worship" thing. Maybe it's because I pay attention to people. Maybe it's because I'll PM you just to talk about personal problems in your life. Maybe it's becaue I give a damn about you guys instead of flaming or put downs.

I. Don't. Know. But what I do know is this is all pointless.

Heck, isn't this the Septagon? Come on guys.

No, really, nobody should be dissing the Iceman.

I think you are just jealous, but that's jus me.

That's exactly what I mean! I can't post something about him without getting flamed. A negative about Iceman, and I suddenly become the devil, I'm the bad guy now, because I have an opinion about Iceman. That makes me jealous, because I have an opinion, is that bad!

And two examples of my point exactly. That is throwing your ego! Your saying things that make you look good. Look at that post, just once. Half of 'em are saying what good things you've done as a member. That is an ego! Your trying to make yourself the good person, the one everyone likes.
