Finally I can talk a little basketball

YES, these are some of the best games ever played in recent memory. From the D-Fish shot to the Fresh Prince's block last night, the playoffs have been live

I always knew somehow that you're a basktball fan BtN

What's your favorite team? Mine is LA. Been a fan for years. Kobe is my man. He's proving himself now to be The Goat, and he'll officially be showcasing it next year when he's with the Clips

If he dodges his court case :)

LoL, of course you'd think that. All cool people like basketball. Anyway, yeah I'm loving these playoffs. Wow the Pistons D is amazing! 19 blocked shots. Man there were some horrible calls in that game last night. Ben Walace's first 2 fouls were bunk. 3 or 4 charge calls when the player was in the restricted area.

Not really a big Lakers fan =/ I've always hated Kobe, but this year I've grown to like him. He's playing under some pretty heavy pressure this year, and he plays huge. I hope he leaves the Lakers, so I can cheer for him LoL. I'm kinda torn in both series' this year. I always want to see the Lakers lose, but I have no respect for Garnett anymore. Ever since that game where hit that Nuggets player in the balls for no reason, I've seen no reason to cheer for him. A player that represents his league as the MVP should conduct himself better. I don't recall Jordan cheap shotting players in the balls. In the other series I like the pistons, big Ben Wallace fan, but am also a huge Jamal Tinsley fan. I couldn't care less about the rest of the Pacers, but I live in Iowa, and Tinsley played at Iowa State. Let me tell you that guy is RAW! Best ball handler in the League right now. Don't know if you saw him cross up Billups late in the game last night and hit the jumper, but damn that move was tight. In the end I hope the Timberwolves and the Pistons meet in the finals, and the Piston destroy them.

I don't really have a favorite team. In the NBA I really just like players. If I had to choose I'd have to say the Kings, because Bobby Jackson is one of my favorite players, and they play like a team. Also a Bibby fan, when he went to Arizona, I lived in Tucson. The same year they won the National Championship. I think it was 1997. I got to meet him a couple of times it was his freshman year. I actually got to play ball with Tinsley once. Iowa State used to do this thing, I dunno if they still do, but instead of like a summer camp, the players would travel the state to highschools and play ball with the players.

But yeah it's good to talk about other stuff with people, glad somebody else likes ball.

Phew so many things to respond to

First of all, I'm a Kobe fan before a Lakers fan. I let anyone I talk to know that. My respect for The Glove went south when he tagged along with Shaq and KB8 for a ring, which it looks like he'll get now

Once the Spurs/Lakers was over, the championship was already decided; the rest of the games are just added drama, and it'll probably be the Lakers in 6, against whoever comes out of the East

Garnett - Yea, I know. I didn't like how Garnett did that guy - who I think is rookie - like that. Garnett got heart though, so I'm not gonna let a little thing like that get in the way of me being a fan of him, which I am. I like Garnett because he keeps it real, and it's that simple. He may of been the best player in the league this year, but don't forget that Kobe is the best player on the planet :)

Jamal Tinsley - Believe me, I know. Jamal I know well about. He probably has the sickest handle in the L, besides Ronald "Flip" Murray (If you don't know about him, you should; I saw him courtside and I was laughing cus his handle was so raw). I saw that play against Chauncey, it was sick. The problem is is that Jamal's in a system in Indiana where all he has to do is hit 3's and pass the rock. If he was on a team like, say, Dallas, fans would pay attention more. I got a DVD I got when I bought my Questions and it's the one with Kobe in Rucker Park at the EBC. It had Jamal go against The Bone Collector. Dope stuff

Ben Wallace - The -blam!-. Plain and simple. Love that dude

And yea I'm the same way too. I'm a fan of Seattle because I live here, and I'm also becoming a Cav's fan (just like everybody else in the B-ball world). I got mad respect for Kobe, and so it goes without saying that where ever he goes, I'll stick with him; imagine how insane LA would be if it was Kobe VS Shaq. The type of thing that makes me wanna move down there :)

I'm also a big Derek Fisher fan. I was sad to see his role reduced because of GP this year, and I was happy as hell for him when he made that shot. I think him and Kobe, who are good friends and came into the League in the same year, should both go elsewhere together; I'd love to see that

Also, go to the Nuggets homepage. That dude can jump! Looks like LeBron or James White (and do you know who James White is?)

EDIT: Hold up! That dudes 5-11????

Drop a link. Yeah I like Lebron, but you know who I forgot? Dwayne Wade. That kid is serious. I honestly think he should have gotten the ROY this year. He was the first rookie to lead his team in playoff scoring in a long time. MJ in 85' was the last time I think. They showed the last 3 Wade's being first, and Jordan's was on there but I can't remember if it was the last or the second. The other was in the 80's though. About the championship, I think the East is gonna win this year. When the Pistons play their game, I don't think anybody can beat them in a 7 game series. If anybody can it's the Pacers, who slaughtered the west this year. Btw Flip Murray is raw, shame he faded at the end of the season. Would have like to see them in the playoffs. Also yeah I like Derek Fisher too. He's clutch. GP is alright, but I don't think he should start over Fisher. I like how GP is on the bench in the 4th LoL. I think their best lineup is when they have both on the floor, slide Kobe to SF, and Devon George to PF with Shaq in the middle.

This is the page

Ideal lineup for Lakers

Fisher - PG
Bryant - SG
George - SF
Malone - PF
Shaq - C

I put Malone in because he does a good job against KG, and did a good job on Duncan

BTW, Payton has 14 points - so far - in the first quarter :)

Yeah I see that, but he always gets points in the 1st. Then you don't hear from him again. I wouldn't really say malone does that good defensively, it's a team effort. I think Kobe had as big a part in slowing KG in game one. Plus, it's easy to play defense knowing you have Shaq behind you.

True, but Malone has good hands. I didn't believe all that talk for a while, but after I saw what he did against Duncan, I changed my mind

Yea you're right about GP in the first

The thing is, that's the only time Phil lets him play, heh

EDIT: See, I like this lineup right now, with Rush in in place of George in that lineup I gave. Another thing: did you see that dunk Kobe had on Duncan in game 6 last series? Sickness...

OK BtN, Detroit and Indiana, Game 3

Who gets it?

Seeing as how this game is in Detroit, and that Detroit is coming off a huge win, I give the advantage to the Pistons

Look for Rip to have a big game

Definitaly the pistons will win by doing what they do best, Shuting down Pacers offensive line with blocks steals and turnovers and by the way Ron Artest SUCKS and Miller is not even that good. Its all about Billups, Hamilton, Prince r.Wallace, and B Wallace.

The pistons will win game 3 put that on the front page back page middle of the page.

LOL

Yea, they're gonna win, seeing as how their defense seems to double in intensity when they're at home

Ron Artest definately does not suck; he's one of the best players in the league - all-around - in my opinion. His offense is a whole lot better than last year, and he's one of the most physically imposing players in the league

Yo BtN, LAC got the second pick

All I'm wondering now is, who will be the person they choose to play alongside Kobe in his inaugural season???

I'm not an NBA fan, but I do like college basketball. I get tickets every year for the University of Illinois Mens' Basketball season. The only time I'll watch an NBA game is if I know Brian Cook is going to be playing. He's on the Lakers now, but he graduated last year from the U of I. 8)

They may trade that pick to try to get him.

Hmmm, didn't think about that

I always thought that had enough cap room to get him anyway; I don't think Kobe exactly wants the biggest contract on Earth. Get him about 15 mil and he'll be good

And you can bet that Kobe'll want some nice talent around so the team can build around him; he doesn't want to go elsewhere only to fade into the bottom of the Western Conference now...

He will. He wants to prove himself to the non-believers that he is the best player ever, and he'll do that by going to the Clips

I say the Clippers because I can't imagine him leaving the town in which his wife is so into, with her family and community work; another possible place is Phoenix, but we'll see

Yo and BtN, I smell another Laker win tonite; and it smells like baked Timberwolf
