You are not a mistake; God has never said "oops." Seek Him and you will find Him. Do not seek Him, and you will not find Him. He respectfully leaves the choice up to you.
A great idea, we'll have to rely on the big guns to make it well-known, not everyone visits the forums, and sadly, not everyone visits halo.bungie.org which a large majoirty of Halo gamers do. I'd donate at least a dollar, if not more. Perhaps it should be set up so that you can donate based on something like your Xbox Live account and/or the store at which you pick up the game? That would be cool. We just need to remember that people are lazy, and if the process of giving away their own money isn't made painfully obvious to them, there's a good chance they'll walk on by, and just claim that it was too difficult to find, or that there were too many things going on at the time when they saw it, or everyone in the store was too busy to answer their questions. So yeah, on another note, if you are a Christian referring to Heaven, way to go putting it in a post. But, my friend, you might confuse people or help support that idea going around out there that "all Christians that try to tell you about God are hypocrits anyway" by referring to a "list" that God has. God doesn't work by that. If it were merit-based, then we'd all be up the creek without a paddle - which is why Jesus came 2004 or so years ago - to give us a paddle and then help us onshore, heh. Another thing is that, "Angel" being my name in Halo, I have learned a lot about them, and one of the things I learned was that they are a separate and distinct race, created specifically as creatures of worship, and that, though we now are "below" them in "status" (think of it this way - they can stand in God's presence - if we tried that now, we'd be killed instantly) after entering Heaven, we will be "above" them in "status", insofar as we will be on Jesus' level when we get there, all citizens of the Kingdom of God.
But anywho. Just wanted to get that out of the way, as there are many people (especially gamers) who are agnostics or just don't know what to believe, and I saw this as kind of like something like the reviews that you'll sometimes see of Halo that get most of it right, but then say something like "Eric Nylund is responsible for the whole Halo story" or "The Master Chief and the Covenant have to team up and work together against the Flood". It hits just left of the bulls-eye, you know what I mean? So, though I'm not out here preaching, (so don't flame me plz) I am making certain that when people are informed about a choice that they have, they are informed correctly, and are not misinformed due to common, innocent mistakes in what the culture at large believes about how God works.
Thanks for getting this idea out there! This could end up doing a lot of good, and it really could put a new spin on the hardcore gaming elite out there as being more than the stereotypes depict us as! Plus, even if it were a year later that everyone who bought Halo2 ended up giving a dollar to a charity such as MAWF, as long as it all got there, that would be easily $5 million right there. Good luck with getting that into the public consciousness.
