I have heard the name in different contexts before. What does it mean exactly, aside just sounding cool. On a side note, why don't humans use more fusion weapons when fighting the Covenant?

Mjolnir is the code name for the armor, a reference to the Norse god Thor's weapon: A hammer.

Re: fusion weapons-

Man doesn't use any energy based warfare because it is not economically feasible, and we do not have the technical savvy to fully understand such weapons yet.

If you were to read the 3 fiction books writen by Eric Nylund and the other books (i forgot the authors names) he gives a discription of everything you would ever want to know about the armor. As i have done. These series of books are amoung the most interesting peices of literature ive read. 'Course i really havent read that many.
