2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

If anyone started a Halo-based religion I would probably hunt them down and kill them in the most inhumane way possible.

  • 11.04.2006 6:35 AM PDT

Ach! Was ist los?

A religion based on Halo? Pitiful.

The Faith of Bungie sounds much better.

Yea, though I walk through the shadow of the pathways into darkness, I need fear no evil, for the Bungie art with me and my akimbo shotguns shall waste all that spawn in my path.

Blessed are the vidmasters, for they shall inherit the skull.

There is no higher power save The Man, and Frankie is his spokesmonkey.

And on the sixth day the Webmaster got tanked, and there was much refreshing and clearing of caches. But lo, on the seventh day the Webmaster sobered up, and there was much rejoicing.

Thou shalt not suffer a BOB to live.

Do not use Caps Lock as thy 'run' key, for that is an abomination in the eyes of The Man.

If thoust encounter an explosive-laden dwarf on the road, thou shall not cross to the other side nor avoid him in any way, but shall regard him as thy friend and ally.

Thou shll use trw spk in a pnch nly.

Thou shall not double-park thy Warthog, nor fail to keep thy Warthog's registration up to date, nor leave thy Warthog's LAAG unloaded.

Seven is darker, your mom is hawt and everything is not as it seems{}. seems{}. seems{}. Blamen.

Sure. You'd probably be the first guy trying to convert to it.

Plus the religion would completely explain the war between the Reds and the Blues.

And Bob, you shouldn't leave out the most important part: The 300 Rules. The ones like bewaring of low-flying defense drones, nightmares, and kitchen appliances. Plus bewaring of abandoned rental trucks.

It's not like you can't post your own.

Nudge, nudge and all that, what?

Yes, but this religion would have a heirarchy, wouldn't it? So it's not my responsibility to remember all 300 Rules. It's your responsibility as one of the Sacred Ninjas to remind us all.

my teacher at school told me that if I wrote a 10000 word essay on my religion, and why it prevented me from doing homework, I'd never have to do any homework ever again =D...

"That's about all that can be said for plots, which anyway are just one thing after another, a what and a what and a what.

Now try how and why."

*watches futurama*

If halo became a religion, what would they yell when they throw us all into a volcano?

oh, and also:

Thou shal not use the CAPS LOCK key in vein
Charon dosn't make change
Thou shal wait for the boxes
Thou shal not abuse thy computer
Thou shal not team kill

We also have a creed:

Find the right way down through the maze, to the food, then find the exit. Push the exit button. If the food tastes awful, don't eat it, go back and try another way. They want the same thing that you do, really, they want a path, just like you. You are in a maze in a maze, but which one counts? Your maze, their maze, my maze. Or are the mazes all the same, defined by the limits of their paths? Existence is simple: find the food, push the button, hit the treadmill. But sometimes it gets much harder. Sometimes the food makes you sick, or you can hear nearby feet racing you, urging you on. Sometimes the button only gets you landed right back in the beginning of the maze again, and the food won't satisfy. There is only one path and that is the path that you take, but you can take more than one path. Cross over the cell bars, find a new maze, make the maze from it's path, find the cell bars, cross over the bars, find a maze, make the maze from its path, eat the food, eat the path.

(10:19:49 PM) Scruss: oh and pezza, i saw what you did to that cat
(10:20:17 PM) Pezza: You were the one with the video camera breathing heavily. Of course you saw.

The storyline for Halo is based off of various parts of other religions.

Oh yeah, no, you don't need a -blam!- Halo religion you twit.

Its bad enough that there are people out there that worship Star Trek and the such.

It isn't? I'm laughing pretty hard.

And when you think about it, Bungie, or at least Halo, has almost reached that status.

Only due to people and their personal beliefs that are related or sound related to things of their own personal religion.

Now, wouldn't this thread be considered against the rules? I mean, it is starting to going into some serious speach of religion.

  • 11.04.2006 10:14 AM PDT

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time. I know who you are. You are destiny.

If you guys would start following a religion of "zombie Halo nerd guys over Internet", you would likely start looking for your shield indicator and probably at dinner start looking at a message saying "Press X to Double wield fork and knife".

...

May I join?
