I have XBL, but I would also like bots. It would be the perfect training! You could play with a few of your friends (or people online) and fight off an endless onslaught of Covenant to see how long you can survive! That'd be a cool feature!

To those arrogant ones, Not everyone can get XBOX live u idiot... so those people who cannot get xbox live for any reason (cant afford, cant get broadband etc.) and cannot really play proper games, would absolutely love bots, as it would allow them to play their favourite game more and more, also im sure those people who go regularly to system link tourneys would also like bots, i mean think of you and your mate with your team of 5 bots against two other people and their five bots, it would be amazing for those who never really play mp.

I am not one of the people who cant get xbox live, im planning to buy it on november 1st along with an ME101 ethernet bridge to hook up the xbox to my wireless network. But i think an 8 player ctf zanzibar match would be amazing with a bunch of bots running around.

And for those of you who complain about slowing down the system, the processing could be shared among the xboxes and because everyone is on broadband there would be no lag, or if thats still not fast enough for you, DONT AVE THE FRIGGIN BOTS TURNED ON!

bots would be awesome. does anybody remember Perfect Dark? bots MADE that game. you could have an 8 on 8 with only two people. i thought it was cool. bots are a must, because they would make xbox live better, too! think about it- each xbox could take control of an eaqual # of bots, and there would be less info going over the lines because the AI could be translated into simpler commands. for example, instead of Xbox1 telling Xbox2 where a player is going, it says how that player is going to get there, and what it will do to respond to whatever. if an event happens and this gets interupted, XB1 would just send a quick correction in the same format as the original. this is opposed to constant correction generated by a human (unpredictable) player. bots would eliminate lag. (if programmed correctly).
I'm pretty sure the bots would fall out of step too fast. AI reactions of different people's versions of the bot can differ. The situation isn't EXACTLY the same for bots on different machines because of network lag, so you'd end up with problems every time a bot does two imcompatible things on different machines. Even if you could get around that, you'd still need a central machine to handle the bots' AI: bots should have a little bit of randomness so you can't predict them. Any halfway decent bot should make choices based on probabilities defined by its code so you don't know exactly what it'll do. Bots will have to be a single-machine-only thing for those of us who don't have Live access.

If Bungie allows bots in the online game I will be raging! It will completly water down the internet play. Now if they made bots split screen offline only I would not care
