Ok here is my rant/pet peeve of the day, am i like the only one on Halo XBOX live that believes when joining a game you should play it all the way through even if you know you will lose. I've played with people all day that will quit after loseing one round of play and not even give it a chance. I just did a capure the flag game and by some freak of nature we were stopped one foot of way from the plant spot, and two of my guys just quit after that and so me and the other guy lost the game, things like that all day is annoying because i can never get my level up. Ok im done with that for the day, but my curiousity question is, who out there countinues through a game no matter what and if you are one of those quitters why do you even start the game ?

This is a signature.

In it's current position, it serves almost no good, and, therefore, there is no reason to put anything important into it.

I like trying to finish out the game...

I like to play the game, and can't stand when the other team quits, so I try not to quit, even if the rest of my team quits.

The only reasons I'll ever quit out of a game are:

a) I am the last one on my team,
b) I am getting cheated, or
c) I have no choice but to leave immediately for something more important.

I rarely bail out on my teammates, because it gives the game less value and ruins it for everyone else. Unfortunately, there are times that I have to quit in the middle of a game, but this happens rarely, and I usually make it a point to apologize to my teammates before I leave them.

Maybe someday people will stop being dicks and think of the other people in their game before they quit out.

I give up easily, unless im with my GOOD friends either MLG MONSTER or Polarbearsgomoo, but I usually never actually quit.

EDIT : On someones signature it siad BXRing is cheating, no its not, nor is superjumping.

I dont see BXR as cheating, but superjumping is for -blam!-s.... i mean my friend thinks that hes better than me because he does better in matchmaking by superjumping, and stealing other peoples kills (stealing kills isnt cheating its just irritating)

Please don't hijack this thread to a superjumping cheating/not cheating topic. No-one cares. If you think it's cheating, leave feedback. If you don't, don't.

I'll always try to finish a game; if we're getting cheated I'll have the rest of my team quit and I'll hide somewhere while I go and make a snack. It keeps one set of cheaters out of MM for 15 minutes, and pisses them off a little. =)

Let me put it this way. If you are exploiting any kind of glitch in the game, that includes button comboing and super bouncing, you are cheating. That is my opinion. And if I run into anyone who does it in matchmaking I do one of two things. If they are on the other team I play through or hide. At least then I can make them have to wait the whole game if they want to win. That or if they are on my team I commit suicide as many times as possible. I basicly just try and tick them off any way possible. That and I leave feedback, which works if you use it.

Edit: and yes I agree with Saint. We are getting off topic so let's get back on it shall we.

i will quit if i:
get particularly mad about a death,
get mad about a crappy team,
get a crappy gametype,
get an objective i dont feel like playing,
am not having fun for more than 1 minute,
want to watch tv,
get hungry,
get screwed by teammates who dont help,
if other people quit, that were good,
if people that are bad wont quit,
if im doing bad,
get a party invite from a freind,
get the urge to just leave,
if i can never get the weapon i want,
the other team quits,
im playing containment,
the list could go on forever i guess, i mean i have a new reason almost everytime i quit. Also, if people on my team quit in SWAT, i prefer it.
I pay them=i do what i want
they pay me=i do what they want
you pay me=i do what you want
(and i have paypal guys.......i wont quit for a dollar)

That is exactly how I feel about it, I'm always talking to my friends about it and telling them, "If I quit every time somebody else did, I would never play Halo 2 on Xbox Live." lol, and I think you can all relate.

I got his sarcasm...one person has to implement sarcasm and then you get a pile of terrorist chipmunks crashing your party, not fun at all..

Which is why you party with people you can trust
