Lets see, arms and legs, I believe. I never understood that part anyway...

Which of mars' moons became the Marathon?

Deimos was the moon which became the Marathon.

What was the "Pirated Copland Beta", and what was it a reference to?

As I recall, the Priated Copeland Beta came up when you used the alien weapon in Marathon 1. It refered to Apple's lamented attempt at a moden Mac OS. Parts of Copeland went on to become Mac OS 8.

Correct. The weapon fired the ammo "Windows NT", referring to the fact that Microsoft once again was ripping off Apple in trying to bring something new to their OS, and in the process stealing a swathe of features. The Copland project was abandoned, reborn with Rhapsody, and finally came to fruition with Mac OS X.

Well, since Reiginko forgot to add a question, I guess I’ll have to cheat and add one of my own: who was the original creator of the Marathon symbol? (This one you either know or you don’t. If you just guess, you’re probably not going to get it.)

Hmm...It's either Jason Jones, or Craig Mullins.

What does the acronym B.O.B stand for? Double points if you can name their leader.

These are too easy. Born on board. Robert Blake.

When was Marathon first released (this should be easy, since it's kinda relevant these days)?

Marathon came out in 1994.

Why did the Spht'Kr leave Lh'owon, and kudos if you can also remember how many orbits passed since they left.

I believe the S’pht’Kr left Lh’owon because of a civil war between the clans. And IIRC, they were gone for “a thousand and one orbits.”

Hmm...It's either Jason Jones, or Craig Mullins.
Nope. The original creator of the Marathon symbol was "J." Reginald Dujour. He was also the "Play-Till-You-Puke" originator.

Anyway, here’s another question. This should be a really easy one ;-)
Who wrote most of Marathon’s story?

  • 11.06.2004 4:06 PM PDT

Ach! Was ist los?

Greg "Toolator" Kirkpatrick, who also did many of the levels.

Now, how many Simulacrum variants did the Pfhor create?

--Sgt. Smith has heard some say that G.K.'s preferred method of attack was an airborne flamthrower-as-jetpack assault.
