Add me to your friends list if you haven't already. It's a lot more fun to play with people from The Maw and people I know than random noobs.

I want to know what I need to know to keep things like windows messenger, aim, ect. from booting up automatically. I forgot lol.

The reason is because it's annoying to have to exit them all and if I don't, i get like 10 fps while recording games :P

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

I usually run "msconfig.exe" and under the "Startup" tab, uncheck all the stuff I recognize and don't need at boot. You can also use "Services" from "Administrative tools" in the Control Panel in XP.

The best program for this is AutoRuns. Shows all programs which are set to autorun, including the ones which are not listed in msconfig. Used to be a Systeminternals program, but Microsoft employed the writers, and now all the tools are from Microsoft.

Get it here:- http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/Autor uns.mspx

Maybe he wants to boot directly into Halo. That's what I'd use it for. ;)

It might just be me, but I have a feeling that booting directly into Halo on startup would be a bad idea... or is that just my puny 256 mbs of RAM talking? o_O
