Uh.. I'm pretty sure that Bungie knows what is going into their own game. They might decide to change the story along the way, but we'd never know. Its not like the story just "happens."

I've challenged my beliefs. What is the book about?

I find that this is usually untrue. If religious people honestly, diligently and intelligently challenged their beliefs, there would be no religious people.

perhaps if older games had references to new bungie games yet to release for quite a few years, I would believe you, but c'mon, looking to the past to see the future? How does that make sense?

in halo their are many refrences to other games (like the unsc logo from marathon)

Sorry, but you lost me there. I don't remember any UNSC in Marathon. Are you thinking of the UESC?

"I pledge to punch all switches, to never shoot where I could use grenades, to admit the existence of no level except Total Carnage, to never use caps lock as my "run" key, and to never, ever, leave a single BoB alive."

2B || !2B - Why don't you look Inside the Machine?

Nah, it wouldn't amaze me. You actually have to think through something before you make a game.

Please try to use some degree of grammar in your posts.

I don't normally pick on people's posts but I could barely make out what you were saying.

If Bungie had thought up Halo from the start there would be no Gnop, Operation: Desert Storm, Minotaur, Pathways into Darkness, Marathon, Myth or Oni.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

I think that Bungie only makes games so they can reference Charlemagne as often as possible. I didn't know where the reference is in GNOP, but if you look hard enough, I'm sure its there.

They're just so good that it seems like this was all planned from the "beginning".

Cortana 5 is a carbon-based lifeform that frequently visits these forums, currently residing in the United States. Practically every male on the site responds to her posts.

The Joyeuse IP Formula

They pay omage (sp?) to their other games. Remember, Halo wansn't Bungie's big break. It's a very interesting subject to look into. The Cortana letters are also very mysterious. They've always been mysterious and they love to keep up guessing.

It's ALL been planned from the beginning. The games, Microsoft buying them, the way the world is going, the console wars, EVERYTHING. They've been sitting there, distracting everyone with the Halo series, while they've been shaping everything to their will in the background. And, when the time is right, they will strike, and achieve their goal of world domination.

Why, I think we all know GNOP was the name of his favorite horse.

If Marathon made reference to Halo, maybe, but it doesn't. Halo makes reference to Marathon, and thus there is no "pre-planning".
