I think it should,an elite could hide and you would have to hear out to get them before they kill you.

But the only reasion you can tell that is because the humans have a motion tracker chip in their suit and the rain is moving when it hits the ground.

It would make MP a lot more interesting if they did it. Nonetheless, i doubt Bungie will do it.

Well, it would likely reduce the maximum sensor range for the unit as it has to filter through the ghost echoes. Personally, though I know it would likely still work given it's 500 years in the future I say we exercise our cinematic license and say that is forces the motion tracker to cease functioning... just because it's cool.

I think there will be rain in Halo 2, but I hope it doesn't screw up the motion tracker. However, I think it would be cool if whenever you enter an enemy base, they can jam your signal. ;)

Yeah, that's true, Chairman. But, when you were crossing the tree bridge on 343 Guilty Spark, that Flood on the hill (these were the elite infected forms from what I saw) appeared as yellow or friendly blips on the motion tracker.

Yes, rain would affect it. Read Fall Of Reach. On Sigma Octanus, when they were going through the jungle, "motion trackers was useless because of all the movement of the rain"

no in fall of reach it said motion tracker was usless cause everything moves in the jungle and the rain and WIND made it worse

How the motion tracker finds friends is that it uses the chips in your teamates heads however your enemys don't have chip and the fact that it was raining and windy in the fall of reach is it wasn't the rain that affected the motion tracker it was that the wind was making the branches and leaves on the bushes and trees move so on the motion tracker it seemed like every tree and bush was an enemy
