What? Try speaking American! It's the only language that I understand!

I thought you were talking about the note written in pink crayon...I guess both work here don't they?

This thread reminded me of a certain part from this episode.

Bungie.net is home to not only oldeer fans but also a young fanbase. I'm sure some younger kids would fail the literacy test and not be able to partake in the in the community. This would in turn be unfair. I would guess that Good grammar is only a suggestion rather than a Rule.

You can't play the "Age Card". I'm living proof. Throughout my young years, I had exceptional spelling and grammar for someone my age. Granted, it wasn't without its faults, but when I was in third grade, I used the English language better than half of the people here.

My logic is undeniable.

Fantastic Idea

It took you until the 3rd grade? Damn, you're a slow developer! :p

The Age card is still in play. Not every child in third grade is excelled and you can't punish children for something that isn't their fault. You can't really expect everyone to be on the same level as far as intelligence goes. Scenario: Kids mom is on drugs during her pregnancy with him. She has him and the drugs altered something causing him to have an SLD. Now, should this kid be punished for something that isn't his fault? No.

Bungie has never been known to satisfy certain groups of people, rather, a bunch of groups combined. If bungie implemented a literact test it would lose users and the forums would become useless. It's not Bungies Style.

I don't know who that was directed to, but I like you. You got balls. I like balls.

Too.........much........information.

You guys are talking about a remedy that goes far beyond the responsibility of B.net. The great grammar decline in our country is a product of our society, educational system and the parents of the kids growing up today.

No longer are kids held back when they fail english. They go to summer school and take naps while the teacher reads a magazine. Then somehow they magically pass and are sent onto the next grade with the same skills.

Kids don't put an emphasis on checking their grammar after writing something because they don't have to in school or at home. So why would they do it here?

Strange evolution how people have come to believe
That we are it's greatest achievement
We're barely, we're just a collection of cells
Overrating themselves

Because we'll laugh and point our fingers at them.

I say no to this idea. You are forgetting that most people on bungie, the english language is not their primary one. You have to remember, Bungie is not only popular in the states. Not to mention the bungie.net population would drop dramatically.
You also have to remember that the united states isnt the only english country in the world. In fact it is one of the last countries in the world to have english as the main language.

That came out wrong...

Anyway, Matt was blacklisted and I'm too lazy to read more than half a page of this. I'm also too lazy to form much of an opinion...but I'm not so lazy that I can't type, because I'm awesome.

--I say nay. Many people, even the intelligent, love the internet as a place to speak your mind in whatever grammartical form they please. I choose good grammar; others choose "2 type liek dis lol". Most places in life require adequate grammar; the internet is the one place where "typin liek this is ok". Plus, as others said, Bungie's population would drastically drop. And I wouldn't get a feeling of arrogant superiority after reading posts in The Flood. ;)

Oh. *reads opening post*
I'd be indifferent. No point in elaborating; either way'd be fine by me.
